Couple things wrong with this. He said he had around 50 games played with a bit different format than this. I wouldn't call that a new player. Second of all, I don't see why you are still voting him if you think he hinted at being a TPR if he is a newb. In my eyes, that would make him look pretty innocent.

 

Were you at least caught up in the thread at that time?

 

You say 50 games, but a guy I know called applecider has played at least 70 and would need a lot of newbie games to understand the concept of mafia. For all we know his different format might be town of salem or some other bullshit.
Well his statement about it was very vague. He said something about his investigations, so it might be one.

He was right to call this out.

While I'm not big on tone reading, parts of Basil's game have felt similarly "off" to me, such as his supposed surprise at my approach to players who were like him.

While this is technically him agreeing with me rather than the other way round, I still liked it.
