Episode 1 w as interesting. Yasuke went from a slave to impressing Oda Nobunaga and becoming one of his generals. Nobunaga committed Seppuku and Yasuke was the one to deliver the killing blow. He's haunted by his past and lives as a simple boat man now. Due to Saki's illness, and his home land's customs, he agreed to take Saki and her mother to get help. Now they've been attacked. The beast person, magic and mechs kind of throw it out a bit.
It's rated like 5/10 on MAL idk why lol. I feel like people just dogpile netflix anime when all they do is fun it and are the distributor. Maybe it'll be shit but idk seems ok so far.
Episode 2 was alright. Was the mother the same woman from Yasuke's flashbacks who was a samurai with him? Back in the day Yasuke was a beast but now due to not really doing anything but drinking he's a bit of a mess. The daughter knows that her mother is now dead. I wonder if what the priest said was true or if it was all a lie?
Episode 3 was just what the ****. Towns people believe some random that Yasuke killed the mother. The girl is fine by herself on the run. Evades the two afte rher. Yasuke gets tortured by the priest for info on Saki. Saki manages to basically capture the two people trying to capture her and is the one to help the now damsel Yasuke, instead of the reverse. She's the one to kill the priest mutant who didn't die even to the broken neck that Yasuke tried to do. Guess the mother isn't the woman form the past either, as Yasuke killed her for being a traitor. I would've much preferred the flashback be the anime than the current.
Episode 4 was ok. After Saki through a tantrum, Yasuke agreed to take her to the "doctor". The "doctor" is actually a person that fought alongside Yasuke in the past and has powers like Saki. Yasuke was going pretty good with his katana, then had to be rescued by Saki again. They finally made it to where they needed to be. The daimyo or demon or whatever is still after them though.
Episode 5 was ok. They beat all of the enemies there and Saki repelled the Daimyo. Didn't expect the former enemies to show up as allies. They're dying off one by one and Saki will be the one to kill the Daimyo. Pretty dumb. @JoeJoe prob skip this show.
Half the time he is saved by a little girl with magic powers. Between that and the mechs, and it feeling disjointed it's pretty meh. It's not really much of a story about him as the black samurai but he's out of his hay day and it's just like why.
Episode 6 was meh. Yasuke sees Nobunaga due to the Daimyo's powers and just immediately follows and sides with them. Has a fight with Saki and she breaks him free and they take out the Daimyo. They get back to Saki's village and they did a 180 and love her due to what she did.
