Discussion What types of contests and events would interest you?

Hey all!

Just a quick discussion/question thread. In regards to the title, what types of contests/events going forward would interest you? More graphics things - avatar of the week, etc? Something in regards to writing? Something a bit more unique and simple like a lucky number draw? Any further commentary and ideas would be appreciated! I know things in regards to contests, etc, have been on a decline of late, but I'd like t o try bolstering things a bit more.

I'm thinking Steam giveaways would be cool, like we've done in the past.

 

I wouldn't mind, sigs just need a bit more time than avatars. In regards to avatars, no one entered the last one so it sorta died. I think it was unintentional though; people get busy and life happens.

Only issue is how annoying it is to give anything.

I was guilty of not participating, only because I didn't know a lot of the characters so it didn't feel fair. :/

 

It was just "manga characters," loj said preference on black and white, but if you find coloured it's fine.

 

It's hard to cater to everyone. Maybe if it was just "manga characters" but no preface on what specifically the content of the avatar was it would've been better? So use any manga character. Style being whatever? If you've got suggestions for AOTW themes, feel free to share!

 

We'd done colour themes before (blue) but it was the fact there was also the limitations applied to the theme in this instance?
