Hello, my names Mike and I'm currently working towards creating a new streaming service to host this amazing art form. I love anime and just want it to be the best experience possible for all those involved.

There are a few reasons why I want to do this, one is the studio's are kind of struggling and I want to support them so we get higher quality anime. Another is that the current leaders in the streaming/community management department are lacking any real innovation. Back when crunchyroll was first founded, it was revolutionary. No one had created a service like this other than those who were just downloading anime and they wanted to bring this world to everyone and allow them to also support its creators. But, no one has really innovated since they have.

So, what I'm asking you guys is; what would you like to see in the industry change? How would you improve it? What are its flaws? I'd enjoy hearing everyone's opinion on this topic so I can get a better understanding of everything. Don't worry if it's already been said or if it feels redundant to say. I've put a lot of thought into this and before I launch this project, you guys may point out something I either missed, overlooked, or didn't even think of!

    Thanks for hearing me out.

Quality writers, I miss those. Also, less of those lazy as shit fight blurs, I get more excited when stuff like Goku vs Jiren happens where we see every strike, even when they're slow or out of focus, being able to see what's happening is way better than some blurs.

  3. If you want to make a streaming service that will help the industry you'll have to pay not just for the infrastructure and development (common for any streaming service) but also for licensing each series which will cost a ton of money. Are you sure you know what you're doing?

Less 12 episode anime, more long stories with good plot.

Honestly, how could they make Danmachi Sword Oratoria into 12 episodes....

Well, for the anime industry to do better, they'd need to make some changes.

The first would be to stop catering to perverts and dial it down with the ecchi and harem series. They're doing nothing but giving the medium and its fans a bad reputation.

The shounen genre needs to do something new. I have seen many videos saying that there is this culture among editors whereby they demand that mangaka stick to a certain formula and write protagonists the same way. They're afraid to experiment, and series which try something new are axed quickly (likes in two or at most five volumes). Red Sprite (which was genuinely good) is a good example of a series that suffered due to its author not toeing the line. This is the result of the influence of the likes of Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto.

Both of the above need to go and the people who green-light that kind of stuff need to go as well. They're causing the industry to stagnate and are worsening its reputation.

    TLDR:
Dial it down with the smut, don't bother with plot formulas, experiment and allow series which try something new to stay alive for a couple of years at least.

Commitment. If you're gonna start a series and it's well received and it has a sizeable community. Don't just drop it midway through. This is what happens with a lot of seasonal anime, unfortunately.
