Synopsis

Born into a new world after a life of stagnancy, Will awakens to the faces of a skeleton, a ghost, and a mummy. Living in the ruins of a city long fallen, the three raise Will as their own. The skeleton— Blood—teaches him to fight; the ghost—Gus—teaches him magic; and the mummy—Mary—teaches him religion and responsibility. Most importantly, they all teach him love.

As Will grows up and learns about the world he was born into, he prepares for the day when he must finally set out on his own. For Will, this journey includes a lifelong promise. At their coming-of-age, every adult is required to swear an oath to the god of their choice, with the strength of the pledge affecting the degree of their sworn god's blessing.

With his departure approaching, Will must prepare to accept the truth of his undead guardians and embark into a world that even they don't know the state of. Will discovers, however, that every oath must be fulfilled, one way or another.

Episode 1 was good. So will has been reborn into this new world and has been raised by Mary, Blood and Gus. Those three were humans but made a pact with a god to stay alive. By doing this, they've been cast aside by the other gods. Despite this, Mary still prays twice daily to Mother Earth suffering through burning as that was who she originally prayed to. She gets bread for will through this. He's trained in battle by Blood and Gus teaches him magic. Looks like he might have scars from trying to help Mary when she was on fire.

 

Episode 2 was good. Will was thrown into that place for a trail, then ended up attacked by Gus. Gus ended up relenting and brushing it off as training or a test, but seems it mightn't be the case. Will is also about to have his coming-of-age thing, so this will be interesting. Wonder why Gus told him to throw the duel with Blood.

 

Episode 3 was good. Will lost to Blood but still they kind of took at as his win. So the three heroes had failed to defeated the demon king and ended up sealing him underground. Will was intended to be a human sacrifice but they raised him seeing as they had no idea where the humans were. He sees Mary and Blood as his mother and father which makes sense. I guess Gus is kind of like an uncle, grandfather or simply mentor figure. Gus wanted will to throw it so Mary and Blood weren't taken away by the good, but now Gus is gonna fight him.

 

Episode 4 was alright. Gus was able to banish the god and help Blood and Mary. Will ended up going to challenge him. He was pretty much on the verge of defeat and then met his Goddess Gracefeel, basically the one affiliated with life/death and of rebirth.

 

Episode 5 was good. Will was able to succeed. Blood and Mary despite being saved chose to pass on as they would keep wanting to stay longer and longer. Gus is around for 10 more years. Gus gave Will his last name, taken from an Elf tradition - Will Maryblood. Will decided to take the G for a middle name. The ending was a nice touch, Mary and Blood having a conversation about getting married and having a kid after the battle, assuming they survived. At least it worked out. Mary's resolve to kill herself it she was left behind.

 

Episode 6 was good. Will ran into a half elf, Meneldor and they ate together after will s tole the boar kill, before parting ways. Turns out Meneldor attacked a village with others and Will fended them off. Their village was destroyed by demons so they chose to loot a village and then move. The village they attacked were going to hang them, but Will bailed them out. Will and Meneldor are off to fight the demons.

 

Episode 7 was good. They arrived at the village a bit too late. Defeated the demons with little effort. However, the people of the town weren't so fortunate with some remaining as undead. They put them to rest. So the old lady ghost stuck around to warn someone of the demons. Meneldor has a pretty say backstory. His mother left the elves to adventure, came back pregnant and died. He was outcast due to that so left. When he eventually joined up with some adventurers, they one betrayed the party over the loot and poisoned them all. Meneldor survived and killed him but the others all died. Then he found his way to that village. Will blessed him now too.

 

Episode 8 was ok. They stumbled upon the other travelers being chased by the bear at a good time. They were able to lead them back to the village which helped them with getting the items they were after. Seems like Will also learned some of Blood, Gus and Mary's past through the songs. Seems like he might try to meet up with the half elf from the story.

 

Episode 9 was alright. The priest seems like a bit of a **** maybe even a phony. Lol at will snapping the wyvern's neck with his bare hands. Will due to brining it down had an audience with the king and is trying to get him to agree to allowing him to hire people so they can drive the demons out, but looks like it might be challenging.

 

Episode 10 was ok. The Bishop came in at the right time and kind of helped Will out in that regard. He's also helping him in general. Guess that he does what he does for a good reason which is why he doesn't use his blessing when doing it. Will is now officially a Paladin.

 

Episode 11 was decent. The new hire they got is pretty overpowered. Pretty rough they ran straight into that trap with the Chimera, which ended up with Meneldor almost dying. Due to this Will dropped all tactics and just relied on the demon sword. He was snapped out of it eventually. In the end he healed Meneldor fully.

 

12 was ok. Will was going to face the demon beasts by himself but Meneldor was able to talk some sense into him. They all regrouped and went for the Chimera again along with the other demon beasts. The Chimera actually has intellect and was capable of speaking to Will and the others. It was laying a trap with invisibility. Will and Meneldor took out the Chimera and Reystov went on ahead and slayed the main beast. Due to their success the town erected a place of worship for Gracefeel. The Robina made a song about them too. Lol at Will getting all that power in terms of prestige. Series was best at the start but felt super rushed at the end.
