Sushi


We all love it. The flavor, the texture, its one of Japan's finest cuisines.

The aroma of seaweed and other assortments of cuisine within the roll wafted across the table. Upon receiving the decorated box of Japanese delicacies, you split the wooden sticks in half instantly. The way they were arranged in the box was truly an art. Greens, reds, oranges, whites, blacks and yellows catch your attention in a moment’s notice. The craving of the small rolls fills your deep, empty heart. Holding the chopsticks using the proper method, you slowly pick up a piece from the artistic collection. The rice is tender, sharp and glistened under the lights within the room. The vegetables and salmon that were mixed into the roll had an unusual sense that impelled you to simply pry open the box and dive into the pot of gold that you craved for. Your mouth was filled with a fresh and delicious symphony of tender salmon tossed with crunchy carrots. It had a luscious combination of delightful texture and subtle but voluminous flavor that creates a bouquet of delight within your mouth. Upon eating the delicacy, your mind couldn’t help but recall the image of freshly filleted bass straight off the boat within a serene lake somewhere in Japan. Having just experienced this gastronomic miracle, you decide to eat more than one and work your way through the box. The craving for this delicacy tingled within your palate. One roll was truly not enough to satisfy the sushi-dedicated appetite you possessed. Each roll that you dined on emitted a different image in your mind. Eel and tuna swimming in the sparkling sapphire sea, vegetables and grains of rice harvested to perfection, all within the fields of Japan. Upon finishing your meal, you realize something. Sushi was more than food people would eat for leisure and enjoyment. Sushi is a culture and tradition from its roots, and nourishment for imagination.
