both are about the same size, i checked the quality of one volume and the b/w is just slightly better

Volume 11 was nice. Arlong sure likes to Bite a lot. The Arlong village arc had a satisfying conclusion. Ok so more new characters are introduced. @Blazing Storm were you talking about Capt Smoker as the universally liked marine? Pirate Kings Island looked nice, the last chapter was pretty good.

there will be now 5-6 vol of buildup before next Major Arc so just lay back and enjoy them

 

Oh just show me a glimpse of Shanks each volume and I won't get bored

 

Volume 12 was ok. Mr Smoker seems like a solid dude, so does that Sgt and the dude with the black robe, he looks like he's related to the Pirate King. Laboon is kawai af. The whiskey island arc was funny, looks like Luffy is getting a singer from this island u-u

 

Next Volume will form basis of next 100 chapters

 

Man I've completed 100 chapters in little less than a week I wonder how long it'll take to catch up

 

well let me tell you Albasta and Skypiea will be Blast. Not just story but the Villians and absolute settings.

you must have realized that unlike Naruto OP has hugely diverse plot settings

Yeah Naruto has a pretty linear setting unlike OP

 

which literally stunts growth of many chars.
examples: All main female cast of Naruto are have vomit worthy level of chaar development apart from sakura which comes too late and too little She along with Temari have an actual fight in pocket where they aren't massacred by opponents.Keep in mind sakura is one of the 4 OG's so her char dev is miniscule compared to other 3

Also if you look closely on stronger chars(as in char not strength) Neji and Rock lee's char arc basically end before part 1 abd they are worse than Sakura in Part 2 but people don't point that out becoz muh fan fav
