I can see the appeal, but if you think it is the best Shonen, can you explain to me why? Because this seems to be a bandwagon opinion I've noticed. It always seemed to me like One Piece had objectively better writing than it, which I believe to be the best, even after Part II. Stuff like Toriko and Fullmetal Alchemist too, the former has an even worse Part II than OP. I haven't read Claymore yet, but I know a user here who thinks highly of it too so that might even be better.
I haven't read/watched it myself, but most of the time if something is labelled "the best" or "the worst" it is a "bandwagon opinion"; a consensus. On that note, you should never let something like that stop you from checking something out yourself and forming your own opinion. In fact, if you eat too much into the consensus, you'll usually end up disappointed as your expectations will be above and beyond going in and knowing nothing. You're also likely to be more critical. Food for thought.
