Synopsis

After the death of his grandfather, 19-year-old Kazuya Souma—an aspiring civil servant—is left all alone with no one to call family. Out of the blue, he is transported to the Elfrieden Kingdom, a small ailing country in another world, to be a "hero." An ongoing war with the demon army has put the entire world in peril, and Kazuya was summoned to aid in the conflict as an offering from Elfrieden to its allies.

Dissatisfied with being used as tribute, Kazuya decides to help the kingdom revamp its declining economy—not by way of adventuring or war, but through administrative reform. Abruptly declared the King of Elfrieden and betrothed to the princess, the "Realist Hero" Kazuya sets out to assemble a group of talented citizens who will assist him in his bureaucratic battles to get the kingdom back on its feet.

Episode 1 was pretty good. So Souma was just out of the blue summoned to the Kingdom. Nice to see the King and royalty aren't evil dickbags for a change. Also, Souma was just thrown into the deep and as King now and betrothed the princess lol. He seems to be getting the kingdom back on track.

 

Episode 2 was good. Souma is doing pretty good with the reforms for the Kingdom so far. So his magic is controlling objects? Interesting. Looks like Liscia and himself get along well enough. No he's recruiting others for jobs.

 

Episode 3 was good. Souma is getting all manner of people. The dark elf Aisha went a bit overboard for his help, saying she'll be his concubine. The songstress Juna will be good. Smart to get the guy who has eaten all over the world, Souma, too and they've also got a tactician. I'm interest to know what the little girl Tomoe said that shocked Souma.

 

Episode 4 was good. So the Tomoe can speak to demons. Could be a huge game changer for the war. The ended up having the old King and his wife adopt her to keep her in the castle. Her mother and brother will also end up living there too. Souma lent the hero's sack thing to Poncho to get heaps of food to help with the Kingdom's own resources. Looks like they're getting to try a whole lot of new dishes.

 

The final dish ended up being the slime things turned into noodles basically. Hakuya has become the new Prime Minister. His first act was to set Souma and Liscia up for the rest of the day off to go on a date. They had Aisha tag along for protection. They ended up going to Juna's cafe. Seems like Souma is going to have 8 wives.

 

Episode 6 was alright. Nothing overly eventful just Souma listening to the two friends discuss one of them leaving the country. They ended up being appointed within the castle though.

 

Episode 7 was ok. So they ended up moving the large scale construction because of there being earthquake/tsunami issues.

 

Episode 8 was rough. The Dark Elves suffered a land slide and lost people. They were able to save a good amount. Souma blames himself for being too focused on food.

 

Episode 9 was good but rough. Looks like Souma now has to battle it out with two of the other three leaders. Another ruler also planning to launch an assault.

 

Episode 10 was alright. The battle has started. Excel is just waiting out for Souma to arrive. Souma has fooled Carla and is targeting Caster.

 

Episode 11 was alright. Felt a bit anticlimactic. Caster was soundly defeated and put in a slave collar. I'm sure Carla will be fine, but Souma is insisting she needs to be punished. Didn't expect Georg to immediately surrender then. Turns out the plot was fake to have real traitors taken out.

 

Episode 12 was ok. Gaius was taken out. Now Souma and Co is trying to mediate with the acquired land. I also believe that that "puppet" dude is just Souma controlling it with his magic.

 

Episode 13 was alright. cute of Souma to take Tomoe shopping to buy clothes, nice suggestion from Juna. So the sister of the fabled "Saint" that is the cause for the large treaty investigated Souma. Looks like she approves though. I can't work out if Roroa wants revenge or not, seems it though.
