    Synopsis
Three months have passed since the Demon King was defeated by a hero. Mankind rejoices over their victory, but dwellers of the demon world do not share the same sentiment. With the loss of their king, they must now hold a tournament to decide who will become his successor.

Monitoring the competition is the hot-headed yet powerful Vamirio—one of the Four Heavenly Kings. Among all the participants, she is extremely distrustful of one: Helck, a human hero who claims to hate humanity. As much as she wants to get rid of him, it is impossible due to Helck's incredible strength and popularity.

Amidst the competition, Vamirio discovers that humans have vanished from various towns. As a result of this puzzling turn of events, Vamirio grows desperate to reveal Helck's true intentions by carefully crafting a plan to make Helck lose. If she proves to be successful, she might uncover where his loyalty truly lies before the demon world is endangered.

Episode 1 was good. Starts out introducing Helck, a human hero from the Human Realm who has battled his way through the preliminary round in the tournament to become the next Demon Lord.

The Hero is the one who defeated the previous Demon Lord. Three months later, the tournament to select the next Demon King is taking place in the Demon Realm. Vermilio is one of the four lords and is the one managing the tournament. Hon is her assistant, and when she enquired about the status, Helck, the favoured candidate was pointed out to her. Vermilio absolutely lost her mind. xD To start with she's angry a human is even allowed to participate, as they're meant to be excluded. xD The crowd of demons love Helck, and when he mentioned hating the human race and wanting to destroy them all, this had them cheering him harder. Vermilio is just crashing out about how it's a lie obviously. xD

Monitoring him a bit longer, they saw him defeat another demon in combat, before ominously walking towards the defeated demon. Vermilio was extremely confident his plan was to kill the demons as he went, only for Helck to help him up. xD

The next challenge they tried to rig, was building a house of cards, and they gave Helck extra glossy cards to make it extra hard. In the end, despite him being behind a lot, he clapped his hands to focus, causing a massive wind to knock everyone else's cards over, allowing him to pull the win. xD

Vermilio herself was going to be one of the judges in the next round, which was to do with making a dessert. Helck's was too good, so she rated it a 10. xD

As it turns out, it's revealed that there were actually two heroes this time. Helck and his brother, and apparently Helck killed his brother. There are reports coming in that towns of demons are empty, with the people seemingly vanishing.

Episode 2 was good. Hon's next idea to get rid of Helck is a horse race. Vermilio had her doubts, but Hon assured her that a "special" steed was prepared. xD All of the other racers have larger demon horse things and Helck just has some little pup. xD Vermilio started raging out at Hon again because of there being no way for the audience to believe the blatant sabotaging, only for them to eat it up. xD

The race starts off strong and Vermilio is loving it. All of the other contestants race off with Helck going absolutely nowhere. xD He seems to think it's because his got spooked with the noise. The two favoured actual demons are in the lead, as expected. The woman Hyura and the man Kenros.

Helck pulled a surprising move and started just running with his mount. The mount is running under him and he's running over it. LMAO. Vermilio is not a happy camper and wanted him to be disqualified but then many others would too. xD

It ends up with Helck literally just running carrying the pup. LMFAO. xD He bursts into the lead, with Kenros deciding to also just run. Helck wins, with Kenros in second place barely, and Hyura coming in third. They all advance onto the finals.

Another demon Ista came with a message that in their infiltration of Castle Uram where the Demon Lord resided, there are no humans but 103 winged knights there including a leader. With this, Azudra, another demon that had been badly injured and was recovering suggested to use the clearing of Castle Uram and defeating of their leader to be the next exam. Whoever can reclaim the castle and defeat the leader will become the next Demon Lord. His nickname for Vermilion really gets her mad. xD

The final four are Helck, Hyura, Kenros and Dorshe. Vermilion under the disguise of Anne will be accompanying them.

Episode 3 was good. So the human realm seems free of the toxin that plagues the demon realm. The only reason those in the demon realm are safe is due to the protective barriers around their towns and other locations. Without it, they'd all basically be dead.

With Vermilio, Helck, Hyura, Kenros and Dorshe on their way to Castle Uram, they're being attacked by groups of monsters spawned by the toxin. They really seems like the real demon beings. In the end, Vermilio took them out with her fire magic allowing them to proceed to a safe zone.

Hyura seems like the smart one out of the other four, minus Vermilio. She already figured out "Anne's" true identity of Vermilio. She also warned Kenros about it too, so they would keep in line. Vermilio told them to just keep acting like she's an average person. Meanwhile, Helck cooked up one hell of a meal for the group! It had eggplant which Vermilio hates, and in the end she ate it and ended up liking even that. xD

As they continue their journey, they keep running into stronger monsters due to being in an area with a stronger amount of the toxin. They are managing it fine though, at least until they ran into a New-World lifeform, a large powerful monster. They were very cautious and Vermilio w as going to deal with it, before Helck stepped up. He took it out with a single kick. xD We also saw his sword which is tiny. LMAO xD.

It's also revealed that Azudra was the one to point Helck to the tournament. He met him after a mission he did when he visited Castle Uran. Vermilio thought that Helck injured him, but he was injured by his own traps. xD

After finally getting into Castle Uran's area, Hyura made her dash to take out the leader, only for it to take her arm. Seems she very much underestimated its strength, and is in grave danger.

Episode 4 was good. Right when the leader knight was going to finish off Hyura, Helck called him out by name, Edil. He picked him out by the way he handled his sword, having seen him do it for years. The winged knights are human under the armor, and it seems like he's a rarity in keeping his individuality/personality. The awakening process must be terrible, as he mentioned how bad it was watching others go through it. Apparently the "awakening" allows them to tap into incredible powers, which can evolve further and they call themselves heroes. I suspect they're some fake hero experiments or something. This spooked Vermilio though, as Helck and Cless both being heroes was already extremely odd.

Hyura made a complete surprise reappearance having regenerated her arm. She used the moment to take Edil's wing. She's from a certain race which has ridiculous regenerative abilities, The Ahald Tribe. When Hyura was going for the finishing blow, Helck blocked her sword with his arm brace. Apparently, killing the winged knights is a bad idea. I suppose it allows them to be reborn and grow even stronger. Edil ended up killed by one of his own, and Helck and the others fell down into a hole that opened up underground.

They ended up falling before some gate set up to a portal which had been deemed a failure. It was actively sucking them in. Dorshe put up a barrier which held for a time, and Vermilio ended up deciding to move out of the barrier and explode the stone powering the gate. To a degree, Vermilio succeeded, but she still ended up being sucked in. Helck grabbed her arm at the end, so they were at least together. It looks like they ended up teleporting to the Human Realm.

Episode 5 was good. Azudra and the others found out about Vermilio's disappearance, and Azudra was an absolute wreck. xD

Vermilio thinks they're at the edge of the continent, so not the human realm as I thought. Following some sound, she found Helck having just finished up building a house for shelter and to use as a base of operations. xD It's very fortunate the island they've landed on off the edge of the continent has an abundance of resources, so they don't need to worry about food. Vermilio is getting really tilted as Helck's blasé attitude. xD He just takes everything in stride. Right when she questioned if it could get any worse, it started pouring with rain. xD She didn't want to go into the house Helck built, but he just picked her up and carried her there. LMAO.

When Azudra, Hon and Isuta are discussing their predicament with the humans turned winged knights, everything is pointing towards a confrontation, only for Azudra to double down on rescuing Vermilio as he thinks they cna't do anything without her. xD This is when they find out she's off the continent map they have.

While Vermilio is fishing she deliberates about Helck and his possible motives. She's still not sure if he truly is on their side. She does get a fish on the line, only for the "battle" to snap the line. xD Helck jumps in to catch it for her, only to bring up some horse creature from the bottom of the ocean. LMAO.

The next day, Vermilio wakes up to knocking. Turns out the island has some inhabitants, which look a bit odd. That's where Helck has gotten some supplies, from their village. This is when she finds out Helck is already in the process of getting wood to build a boat. She rushes to find him to hold him up, otherwise she thinks it'll be back to square one if Helck gets back. It's less of a boat and more of a raft Helck built, but he still doesn't know where they are either, aside from being on an island, so they don't know specifically the direction to get back. There were also some ruins that looked familiar to Vermilio on the beach. They also had some ominous figure that has approached them that seems in for a fight. Might be the village chief though.

Episode 6 was good. The hooded individual lead them away ominously. Even Helck recognises they need to be cautious. Once they got to a specific point in the path, he reiterated if they thought they'd by hospitable to some vagabonds... only to confirm that's exactly their intent. LMAO xD.

They supplied a large feast, for which Vermilio and Helck were grateful for. The chief also shared that Helck had agreed to help them with their own issues for the supplies, so it has been a back and forward help. There's a great witch on the mountain who used to be friendly with the villagers, before she set up a magic barrier to stop anyone from climbing the mountain to see her, instead, they end up back down the bottom. The chief thinks it's due to her constantly getting bugged, but s he's due to visit them soon, so they'll ask her for directions back to the main continent.

Vermilio went fishing with the villagers, and did have a good time. But when Helck and her were having dinner, she confessed to being a little annoyed at not being left alone. But she didn't want to refuse them due to being grateful for their help.

When Vermilio questioned Helck as to why he helped her, he was straight up just because she's his friend. xD He was moved by the trust and support he's received since coming to the demon realm. Vermilio when asked him about Edil and Helck told her how he was a very righteous person and they'd known each other for years. When she questions if he'll be able to fight against the winged knights, Helck confirms he can due to having a score to settle. He also says that they can't be considered human once awakened. They're just puppets following the King's order. Helck says they'll cause trouble for ever race in the world, so he wants to stop them and wipe them out.

Switching over to Dorshe, Kenros and Hyura, we see they've been fighting off and defeating many of the armoured knights. Three others that have retained their individuality have landed, and seems they were comrades with Edil. They chastised the way he gave some details up to the enemy and are intent on killing them all thinking one of them is likely to be the next demon lord. Things are dire fore the demons, and Dorshe and Hyura insist on Kenros running with his speed to get reinforcements while they try to hold out. Luck was on their side, as reinforcements showed up in the form of Isuta, Rococo, Hon and Azudra. Azudra is wearing a mask to hide his fury, although it's a bit goofy. xD

Azudra pleads for the winged knights to leave. He doesn't want more bloodshed and just wants to co-exist with the humans again like they used to, before the current King took over when there was a coup. When they declined he took his stance to defend the demons, and unleashed his magic which is to do with nature/wood. He seems to have dealt with them effortlessly.

Episode 7 was good. So Azudra's special ability is being able to manipulate any tree as long as the roots remain in the empire, which makes him incredibly strong. He actually had the winged knights cornered, which is when another unit of them appeared being archers. It seemed like they were aiming for the group of demons, but they were actually aiming for the Winged Knights. While right now the "heroes" are too weak, when they die they are resurrected, and even stronger.

When revived, they're revived in front of the king. The king is using magic that Azudra has seen used once before to revive a hero. As long as the caster is a live, they will continue to revive. The key to undoing it is to kill the caster, in this case, the king. All of them are completely loyal to the king, and basically can't disobey him.

Their current priorities are rescuing Vermilio, the winged knights, the monsters to the east, the absence of a demon lord, and finally Helck. While currently against many enemies, they're holding off, but the looming threat of the winged soldier continuously growing stronger will eventually lead to them losing and being eradicated. It seems like the king may be either a support/magic hero, or possibly another being entirely. It's possible but doubtful he's a regular human.

Azudra sent off some items to Vermilio to help her. Her favourite fruit a mandarin, the deep green pathfinder (to point back to the empire), and some words of encouragement. Unfortunately, Piwi was the one to find them, and ate the fruit. When Vermilio was cooking and trying to start a fire, Piwi used the other things to help keep the fire going. LMAO. xD

Episode 8 was good. Vermilio continues to warm up to Helck, especially after hearing his backstory. Kabano brought good news, the witch was visiting the village! Vermilio rushed over as soon as she could, but missed her. Helck arrived shortly after as well. Apparently Kabano had a nap on the way to tell Vermilio, so fucked them over. xD The chief came through for them, and told the witch about them, so they have her permission to visit.

As they near the house on the mountain, Vermilio senses that the witch is incredibly powerful. Knocking on the door, a larger Piwi answers the door, and they naturally think that's the witch. xD She approaches them from behind, and she's a younger looking woman, seemingly a demon as well. She looks a lot like Vermilio, just older and a lot taller.

Sure enough, Shunova does know the location of the continent and provides some direction there. She warns them to prepare though, in terms of supplies. She also tells them to find a rare animal, a Corstag, as they swim back to the continent, so they can use it for navigating, especially during the heavy fog/mist. Turns out, that was the creature Helck caught way back when. xD Despite being rare, he found/caught a total of 5. LMAO.

Shunova also issues a warning to Vermilio, that Helck is far more dangerous than she can imagine. While he's currently a comrade on their side, his current goals can make him go down a dark path.

Having set off, Helck and Vermilio don't make it too far before finding Piwi is a stowaway. xD Although, the Shunova intentionally sent him to help. They also run into a giant sea monster creature, looks like a kraken. During the night, they find themselves in a tough spot, being dragged into a whirlpool while also being attacked by the same monster from earlier.

Episode 9 was good. Helck tried to fight the monster himself, but Vermilio tried to stop him, reasoning that even if he did defeat the monster, he'd just be dragged into the whirlpool. Helck ignroed her advice, due to the bad situation they were in, and ended up dragged into the whirlppo. Vermilio thought that he died and ended up making it to the shore of the continent by herself, with Piwi.

Turns out, Helck beat them to the continent. LMFAO. This had Vermilio a bit mad and scolding him for just going ahead, but she was also very glad he was fine. They are soon detained by a group of seemingly somewhat primitive beings wielding spears, although they're rather on the wimpy side. They're known as Erilleans. Helck and Vermilio were also shackled, but they were weak wooden shackles. xD They decided to play along for now.

Walking through the village, they see it's very run down, and the people aren't in great shape. Another group of 50 barbarians from the Tothman Tribe that were on the island attacked them and and subjugated them. Prior to that, the Tothman Tribe wasn't much of a threat due to their lower numbers and lack of a leader, but that changed when they suddenly became stronger, plus their king did too, overwhelmingly so. Apparently they put a curse on the people, giving them their piggish, orc-like bodies, and forced them into labour. If quotas aren't met, they're sold into slavery. This is the intent for Helck and Vermilio too, as they don't want to lose more of their own people. The princess soon came across the scene, and realised what was going them and was angry. She lectured them and voiced that she'd rather them all die out than resort to the exact same things the Tothman tribe was doing.

The Tothman tribe approached to stir trouble. The king grew bored and wanted to start wars with the Erilleans being soldiers under their command. When the princess refused, he grew angry and started to physically assault them. This is when Helck and Vermilio had enough, with Helck stepping up to help the princess, and Vermilio having his back, protecting the Erilleans while Helck fought. Helck easily took everything the Tothman's king could through at him, and one of Helck's punches almost took him out. This is where he started to transform and power up.

Episode 10 was great. the Tothman King's power seems to have increase a large amount with the transformation, so much so that it even has Vermilio on edge. Even still, Helck wasn't concerned in the slightest. A single physical punch took the arm clean off. Helck went to attack again, but Vermilio halted him saying it was all over. Sure enough, the Tothman King crumpled to dust. Helck is way too strong. xD The form was extremely odd, though. Despite expecting the Tothman Tribe to attack them with the death of their king, they actually celebrated and were thankful. I guess even they were being oppressed by the king and too afraid to go against him.

The curse of the Erilleans was also undone, and they're still pig-like just with fur. xD The princess is very human like, though. They were very grateful, and although Helck tried to shrug off the gratitude, they announced they would pass down stories of their saviours. When asking for their names, Piwi blurted out Vermilio's as granny, so she was stuck with that. xD They were treated to a good celebration that night.

The next day they departed, and came across another person on their path. When they questioned about the next town, he mentioned it and another one were both destroyed. Apparently, a war broke out between the two kingdoms, and they were both destroyed over a few days. They were pointed to another town instead.,

A striking woman singing in the street makes Vermilio think she might be a survivor of one of the two kingdoms for whatever reason. Helck points out a merchant selling maps. He will sell theme a map that includes t heir destination, but for 50,000 lin. They don't have that currency, so sold off the crystals received from the jewels they received from the Erilleans only net them 25,000 lin. Helck proposed getting a job, but Vermilio shot it down, pointing out it could take months or weeks to earn enough. That's when they noticed a cooking competition with the grand prize being 30,000 lin.

When they signed up, the audience mocked them because of the high level cooks/chefs participating. They are Moonmi the Mild Taste, Touga the Spicy Sauce and Ajikaba the Contest Sweeper and are all experts. The main judge is also well known and by the name of Master Ryo Ridon.

Everyone doubted Heck, except Vermillio. They were impressed by the others cooking, but Helcks way of cooking had everyone admiring him. Apparently even the carrots being chopped were "smiling". xD When Vermilio tasted his dish, she was blown away. While the cooking contest was in full swing, Piwi interacted with the girl that was performing. At Piwi's mention of being lost, she offered to help him find his way.

Back at the cooking content, it was over. the judges tasted all of the food. Helck was the undeniable champion, blowing the competition out of the water. So much so that Ajikaba declared he'd never cook again. Helck was a great sport though, so his kind words left Ajikaba talking about starting over and becoming an even better cook. He even gifted Helck his cooking book. This is when they noticed Piwi being absent, who promptly returned. Piwi gathered some items for them to use to try and help them with the cooking contest, only to be too late. xD

Going back to the merchant, they bought the map after only a few hours work and having gathered the money. Out of courtesy, the merchant warned them to avoid the northwest, and specifically the territory of the two destroyed kingdoms. The woman that helped Piwi warned of a warrior of darkness there.

Episode 11 was good. The singing lady friend that Piwi made suggested they go the long way around to avoid the warrior of darkness so they didn't die. Helck and Vermilio brushed off the warning, confident in their strength. But they insisted they didn't have the luxury of time, which is also true. The woman had some final words with Piwi, and even the vendor questioned if she would let them go to die.

As they're travelling through the area, the warrior of darkness appears. It has Vermilio concerned and very on edge. When Vermilio was going to use magic on it, Helck appeared and just punched it through a wall. xD It wasn't wounded though.

With how strong Helck is, it's amazing that it can actually go toe to toe with him, and not be wounded. In face, Helck is in the losing position seemingly as he's getting wounded fighting it, while its wounds are just healing.

After dodging a big attack, the warrior of shadow keeps attacking Vermilio and pushing her. This is where Helck just goes full beast mode. He almost seems like a berserker and just relentlessly attacks it. This is when Vermilio remembers the words of Shunova.

Vermilio tries to get Helck to run, but he can't hear her in his state. When it seems to be getting bad, Piwi starts singing a song. It's the song that the singing lady told him to sing to stop the Warrior of Shadow.

They followed it back to a location it lead them to which was the ruins of its village. Turns out they were involved in an awful war and basically doomed to all die out. Some of the warriors used some forbidden magic - the hex of darkness. They lost their minds and mutated into "godless heathens" which ended the war, but it destroyed everything basically. A few did survive. In the end, he decided to fight them with the curse. The fight with Helck and Piwi's song freed him from the curse, and as he's crumbling he requests Piwi to sing the song. This is when the singing lady appears and reveals that she's his sister, and he is the one that saved her, even while overwhelmed by that curse. She sung him the song and he was finally laid the rest.

At the end, after having a race, Piwi flies right into the mouth of some giant monster. xD

Episode 12 was good. Finally we get a bit of an update on the demon's side of things with the war against the winged knights. So far the demons remain the stronger force. However, the heroes are able to level up quicker so it's pretty much a matter of time until they end up loosing. Luckily the demon lord candidates have also levelled up, just not as fast.

Azudra also lead an assault force and was able to take back Castle Thor. Despite the circumstances, the demons seem to be in good spirits, even the front line fighters. After the military report, Azudra moved on to the daily search for Vermilio. They were ecstatic to see that finally they're on the map!

Asta, the demon spy overhears the heroes saying that winning isn't their goal. So she concluded that they're just using this war to level up/evolve further. She was noticed and almost spotted by someone, but managed to conceal herself in time.

Azudra has come to the conclusion of where their search team should cross along Vermilio's path. they also talked about Helck a little bit and have concluding that Vermilio will have determined if Helck is a threat or not with the journey.

What Piwi was almost eaten by last time, was some giant snake monster. While Helck was going to attack, Vermilio told him to recover and dealt with it herself. When they find and settle on a camp, Helck requests to speak with Vermilio later. He plans to tell her about his backstory. He also told her about his (short) sword which was actually once a long sword called the hero slayer. He advised it has lost a lot of power, but should still have enough to kill one hero. He requests she uses it on him if needed.

This is were Vermilio finally opens up to Helck about initially thinking he was a spy. But she comes clean how that has changed since the journey, so she doesn't have a need for such a thing. Helck asks her to hear out what he has to say first, as it may change her mind.

We see some offshoot story where the group travelled through some town, trying ice cream, attempting to buy a camel which was way too expensive, then due to their dancing, they got a cheap hotel. xD

Episode 13 was good. Nice to finally get some of Helck's backstory. So he and his younger brother Cless were extremely young when they wound up as orphans. When Helck was only 6, and Cless would've been 4, their village was attacked and wiped out by monsters, and they were fortunate enough to survive. Not wanting to risk being food for the monsters, Helck made the decision to make for the capital to escape the danger.

Unfortunately, the poor in the capital are treated worse than trash. The experience of Helck and Cless was them being beaten by other kids and adults alike. Helck tried to take as much of it himself as possibly, trying to spare Cless when he could. Helck was also doing whatever jobs he could to try and earn income, but sometimes he would only just get paid in food, which may just be a loaf of bread.

Despite being treated like absolute shit, they decided to stay, living in the outskirts and specifically the slums, where there was barely food, as it was better than the constant fear of monster attacks. Seems like Helck awakened his hero powers, possibly when he was a baby, as he already had his "Super Recovery Mode" to heal injuries when he was just 8, and for as long as he can remember.

The abuse they suffered included their money stolen, food thrown away, their "corner" in the slums ransacked, and the older people almost beat them to death. Due to malnutrition and the cold, Cless eventually wound up sick. He was basically on death's door and no one would help. Eventually, when Helck was despairing, a noble young girl spotted them and asked her father for help, and he actually obliged. Thanks to that, Cless just barely escaped death.

15 years later, when Helck is 22 and Cless 19, Cless is the captain of the third infantry regiment. A soldier of the capital. He's gotten very strong, to the point he can one-shot a strong monster. It seems that he has the ability to also rally his soldiers too. This has lead to Cless being beloved by the very people that despised him. Ironically, Helck didn't become a soldier which you'd expect to look after Cless, but he continued doing manual labour jobs.

The nobleman who saved Cless was a member of the Raphaed family, who've supported the royal family since the founding of the kingdom. Shalamy, the eldest daughter was the noble daughter. She didn't think bad of the poor, and played with her, treating them normally. When she started playing with them, the abuse dropped off. The reason that Cless chose to become a royal soldier, is to kill all of the capital. His idea is that by taking care of the threat of the monsters, then the capital life will improve, including the poor. At 16 he joined the army, and at 18 he became a captain.

It's interesting that the head of the Raphaed family seemed to know of Helck's strength and potential before even he did. Commenting that he should join the army, and he is no less strong than Cless, but Helck brushed it off. He was the one to think that Cless would become the saviour of the entire realm.

It seems like love blossomed between Shalamy and Cless, although it may not be official. Helck is eager to support them as it'll be tough. xD They ended up having dinner together, and Cless revealed that he's being dispatched and won't be home for a long while due to the difficult monsters they're dealing with. Cless requested that Helck cook a special meal when he returned, so they'd have a welcome back party of sorts. Turns out, Helck also ended up getting shipped off to it.

Episode 14 was good. The backstory continues. 6 months after Cless left, monsters kept coming and in greater numbers than before. The capital did a military draft, and Helck was one such person drafted. This is when Helck saw the New World life form for the first time, which was terrifying. Helck didn't want to fight it and wanted to flee, but couldn't leave his comrades behind. He was able to defeat it in a fist fight. xD

Helck's squadron was tasked with helping Edil's town from invading monsters. The soldiers stationed there were overwhelmed so they travelled to the capital to request a monster hunting squadron be dispatched to help. Helck stayed behind to offer his help, joining Edil back to his town. Three days later they got the the town, only to see it basically in ruins and on fire. Helck encouraged them to proceed anyway in case of there being survivors. This is when Helck noticed a survivor fighting. She seemed like a strong warrior using both a bow and a holy sword. She was able to take out monsters herself. She was a mercenary not from the town, but they teamed up and took them all out. Helck was impressed with her, but she was shocked by Helck's abilities. xD

Turns out most of the towns people escaped to the mansion, thanks to the woman and her mercenary band helping. They were passing through and noticed the smoke so helped. Alicia is the leader of the group, which such groups were uncommon to fight the monsters for money.

Helck ended up joining them along with Edil to fight off the monsters as mercenaries. Helck was the favourite for Alicia to all for battle with the monsters, at any time. Often, Edil would get left behind to end to whatever Helck had been doing at the time. xD They would be called on around the clock to deal with monsters. Apparently Alicia's grandfather was a hero that fought against the demon kin and her father was a mercenary too. Her confidence has waned due to her coming fro ma long line of fights and comparing her abilities to Helck, which is unfair to her. xD

Some hope was given to the people. Raphaed announcing to the people the demon kin being responsible for all of their issues, including the monsters being summoned. As the hero, Cless was tasked with slaying the demon lord. Killing him will apparently stop the monsters.

Three weeks after setting out, it was announced Cless had killed the demon lord, and everyone celebrated. When Helck went to visit Cless, he was in critical condition after the fight with the demon lord. On death's door. Even so, there was full faith that he would recover. Especially with the Great Sage Mikaros overseeing his healing. He was the one which healed him as a child too.

Alicia was quick to notice the monsters never stopped and voiced her concerns. She was brushed off, but was proven right. The citizens turned against Cless and the other knights that went to fight the demons, calling them cowards and other such nonsense. This is when Helck decided to set out and kill that son of a bitch demon lord. xD
