I found the last chapter to be a satisfying conclusion. Everything gets tied up nicely. The Hundred Year Quest could hint to a possible sequel. 4 out of 5 for the last chapter.

 

Aand Hiro Mashima cannot into relationships

 

I don't know about a sequel but Mashima is making four or five bonus chapters which will apparently release at the time of the Fairy Tail anime's return in 2018.

He also cannot write long arcs.

 

Well he can WRITE them. But the quality...

The first halves tend to be quite good and get a reader hyped up and more interested. Then he takes it downhill.

I disagree with angry idiots who call Fairy Tail hentai. As I've said in the past, it's quite tame by true ecchi standards. But damn Mashima's art style would be fantastic in a full blown hentai. He really should draw one. I just hope for no lolis. He should stick to curvy adult women.

 

Oh yeah I miss that fucker and his bantz too.

 

I can channel him rather well, he'd be generally disappointed in this chapter really. More reminder Makarov is alive, forced ship moments, Zeref and Mavis not being in an afterlife, Chelia gaining her magic back, no visible consequences from the war such as having to repair Magnolia or people being injured Juvia and Gray aside, though he'd be glad to see a lot of the side characters like Kinana getting their panels, and some of the ships going from completely one sided to confirmed. Overall though, he'd just be glad it's done. Definitely a lot harsher than my view on it, it was a cute chapter, if a little drawn out.

I feel kind of empty towards it, I enjoyed Fairy Tail a lot, hell it's actually the series that got me back into anime other than the HST a long time back, to see it over isn't hitting me as much as Naruto-sadness- or Bleach-anger-, but it's going to be weird seeing it go. It's the only series I followed weekly since Bleach ended, whereas things like AoT and OPM etc that I follow are all either slow releases or I binge when they've ran for four-five months. FT started out excellent, with good stories and some original arcs, to pretty average for a shonen, to kind of repetitive predictable and dull... Overall, I rate this series a 3.5 due to that great beginning. Had it not been for Avatar and 2/3rds Alvarez, it would've actually gotten a 4.25 and matched Bleach, but instead it's down with Naruto and AGK.

 

Going Hentai would limit his audience. It's a real shame he most likely won't go there because a Hentai manga by Hiro sounds hype as hell.

 

I count this as a family friendly version of Life Doge's potential views on this chapter.

The Fairy Tail and Bleach animes got me interested in anime again and the Fairy Tail manga got me interested in reading manga again. It's a shame that it went downhill. But I still like the series and many of the characters. I may have issues with this manga but I still count myself as a fan of the series. I rate it the same as you. Would rate it at 4.5 if not for certain things.

And I must stress as I have quite a few times in the past that Fairy Tail is far from the shit show many people say it is. Calling it the worst manga and stuff like that is just ridiculous. It's actually better than most of the crap out there and a majority of other titles in the same magazine.

This is a good point. I doubt he'd go even full blown ecchi because of this. The guy does prefer to appeal to a wider audience.

 

Aye, he would've added some Irish into it.

 

And what we normally see is his Sober Irish. I can't even begin to imagine his Drunk Irish.

Maybe Fairy Tail mini series will happen.
