Synopsis

At the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, Toyohisa Shimazu is the rearguard for his retreating troops, and is critically wounded when he suddenly finds himself in a modern, gleaming white hallway. Faced with only a stoic man named Murasaki and hundreds of doors on both sides, Toyohisa is pulled into the nearest door and into a world completely unlike his own.

The strange land is populated by all manner of fantastical creatures, as well as warriors from different eras of Toyohisa's world who were thought to be dead. Quickly befriending the infamous warlord Nobunaga Oda and the ancient archer Yoichi Suketaka Nasu, Toyohisa learns of the political unrest tearing through the continent. Furthermore, they have been summoned as "Drifters" to fight against the "Ends," people who are responsible for the creation of the Orte Empire and are trying to annihilate the Drifters. As the Ends grow more powerful, so does the Empire's persecution of elves and other demihumans. It is up to Toyohisa and his group of unconventional heroes to battle in a brand-new world war to help the Empire's subjects, while protecting the land to claim for themselves and challenging the Ends.

Episode 1 was interesting. Nobunaga, Toyohisa and Yoichi are getting along, seeing as they've all been thrown into this random world. They have some enemies it looks like, though. I did watch half of this when it aired, but forget what happened.

 

Episode 2 was brutal. Toyohisa just beat the **** half to death with his scabbard. Then the elves took up arms and finished him off. Seems like it's Drifters vs Ends, of those two other beings.

 

Episode 3 was just a wild battle. Now some Drifter in a plane appeared and just started gunning dragons down. The Black King is the enemy that it seems is warranting a team up to take out.

 

Episode 4 was good. So now they got translators thanks to the mages. The plan is for the drifters and elves to take out this group. The drifters want to take over the world basically.

 

It feels a bit over the place, but the action bits are good.

Yeah, the rating seems overly high.

 

Episode 5 was good. So the mixed shit with corpses and other stuff to basically poison the enemy, or have their wounds get infected so they'd die regardless. Entering the castle, the Elven women were being raped and abused, so now after preaching about mercy, Toyohisa about to murder them.

 

Right, they're tracked separately.

 

Kinda weird they're "OVA" if they adapt the manga.

 

Episode 6 was alright. Nobunaga knocked out Toyohisa as he didn't want him to "dirty" his hands with the rapists. The elves then bowed them all down, save one, who had no involvement. The battle continues.

 

Episode 7 was good. Toyohisa took out his opponent, Jeanne d'Arc I think. Looks like after much struggle, the other group took out the other enemy.
