Destiny 2

Newer and more polished sound and visuals, a more focused narrative, public events are now trackable and can be triggered easily, and you have a grouping/matchmaking system for raids and nightfall strikes. Its mainly quality of life improvements, but the story was the biggest aspect in need of overhaul and attention.

Looks like everyone was right, Destiny 2 is a huge improvement. The story is actually interesting and fun, the characters actually have character to them, and everything I've done so far in the game seems beneficial and actually feels worth the effort.

Yeah, beat it yesterday in fact. The story was rather enjoyable, both story and level structure. Felt a bit like Halo tbh.

 

Ah cool cool. I've heard the same thing from a few people, apparently PvP plays a lot more like Halo as well. Which I can see, since the gameplay is far slower in pace compared to D1.

 

Yeah i played a bit of PVP last night to get some milestones and i can definitely feel the similarities(well they existed with Destiny 1 too), which explains why im actually pretty decent with the game since i was pretty good with Halo multiplayer. Not only that i feel like the level designs are very similar to Halo as well.

 

Playing it but honestly there's nothing to do except the raid and trails of the nine once you reach 270+ and grouping up to do the raid, for example is a hassle enough since there's no good pug system implemented. Your only option is the companion app. Hell there isn't even a chatbox so you can chat with your clan members. I find myself wandering around the tower most of the time.

 

Well of course there will be lulls for a game after you reach a certain point, it happens with pretty much every game tbh

 

You can reach 270+ 3-4 days lol there's literally nothing you can do after that. In WoW, for example if you finish the raid and daily quests you can go do mythic dungeons, mythic+ dungeons, farm legendary gear, or you can play PvP and try to improve your Arena rating. There's even more, that i don't need to mention right now. In destiny, once you reach a certain point; you are mostly limited to daily quests which mind you, most of them can be done within 2-3 hours and then you end up with only trials of the nine and the raid for a whole week. That's pretty boring if you ask me.

 

I mean not everyone has that kind of time in their hands tbh, playing 2-3 hours a day is about what I can manage anyway

 

The problem emerges when a game heavily caters to casual players and completely ignores it's hardcore fanbase. So I can see why it doesn't concern you, if you don't play much.

 

Finally got my light level over 270 and joined a clan, been playing the Crucible/Iron Banner mostly
