Discussion Darling in the FranXX

The story is set in the distant future. The land is ruined, and humanity establishes the mobile fort city Plantation. Pilots produced inside Plantation live in Mistilteinn, also know as the "birdcage." Children live there knowing nothing of the outside world or the freedom of the sky. Their lives consist of battling to carry out missions. Their enemies are mysterious giant lifeforms known as Kyouryuu, and the children pilot robots called Franxx to face off against them. For the children, riding the Franxx proves their existence.

A boy named Hiro is called Code:016, and he was once known as a prodigy. However, he has fallen behind, and his existence seems unnecessary. Not piloting a Franxx is the same as ceasing to exist. One day, a mysterious girl known as "Zero Two" appears before him. Two horns grow out of her head.

One of my favorites so far this season, 02 best Girl this season too.

 

This is truly shaping up nicely, I'm on episode 4 right now and I have to say I like where things are going. I feel for Zero Two, all she is is just some tool to these people and a monster to others, glad Hiro can see past all of that to the person she really is. Also was happy he finally said what he wanted to say to Zero Two and finally rode together again with amazing results, showing that they a perfect match and should be assigned as partners. Sexual innuendos of piloting together are as strong as ever is seems though lol.

Zero Two is a nice female character, I like her character :3

Nah, checked out the manga, they draw them inconsistently so we'll have to wait for the official size to be sure.

 

It's giving me Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann vibes. Not a bad thing but I'd like if the MC becomes more likable in the future.

Hmm so I guess Hiro is also being affected by Zero Two, but by the looks and sounds of it, its the complete opposite of the others who have rode with her. My guess is that he's becoming a hybrid like her.

 

Great episode this week, the action and drama was on point. Hiro overcoming the cells and calming down Zero Two was great, the power of love is a beautiful thing. Man Trigger went all out this episode too, the final action sequence looked amazing.
