Was at Subway today...some young Chinese girl works there and some German guy gave her absolute hell.

I though the girl would burst into tears each second.

Poor girl was working alone and this old fart complained about EVERYTHING!

Guy bought like 6 sandwiches and ofc she couldn't remember everything.

Bless her. Germans sure are very impolite sometimes, their way of doing stuff is so serious...Jesus Christ is just a freaking sandwich, no need to scare the poor girl over a sandwich......

Germans in general are as polite as Japanese (but overly serious). I know this from first hand experience. My sister married a German cherub of a boy; and his family is lovely, but overly serious at times.

Some people are just assholes. Nothing more than that. And, as Gobb said, could have been prejudice at play.

Yeah. Possible.

Josip's recalling of this incident reminded me of one of my brother-in-law's relatives... I swear, that old fart is sweet but I've seen him make some statements about Muslims that have left a bad taste in my mouth.

 

There is no cure for that, I hear.

Buying the wife a new Galaxy A34 or A54 because she needs the fantastic battery backup and the nice camera. I also need an upgrade. Thinking of giving up on Samsung and going for a Motorola for myself, as I hear they support just as many (or even more) bands and have great signal/data reception (this is my priority more than anything).

Your opinion?

 

my friend brought A54 and so far is very happy with it, for a budgetish phone, it's solid!

Yeah, I can get a Moto with the same specs as a Samsung for like two-thirds the price (albeit with a less bright and less vibrant display). My main draw is their solid build, battery life, and especially call quality and signal reception.

Thanks for the input, mate. Looking more at the A34 currently. It is not too far behind in performance, nearly as capable camera, even better battery life, more reliable GPS, and it has a Dimensity chipset instead of Exynos. I have no issues with Exynos chipsets myself, but Sushma distrusts them.

This form of treatment is . . . understandable. But it can make the condition worse in especially bad cases of this ailment.
