I've been getting an itch to rewatch Naruto. Last re-watch was back in 2020. Should I do it?

March to May:
Summer in the western ghats. At this time they are very sunny and dry. And you can get quickly dehydrated if in the sun (which will be a majority of places, since many trees shed their leaves from mid-February onwards). Even the coolest places in Malenad can be 25 to 34 Celsius at noon (albeit it can drop to a comfy 13 at night).

June to September:
Monsoon season, with the second highest level of rainfall in the Indian subcontinent (nine times as much rain as Bangalore and Pune). Will be cloudy and cool. You can visit, but you will have difficulty going anywhere due to 6+ hour long rain-showers in the Malenad region (Malenad literally translates to rain country). Bird watching and some treks will be good, but not for spotting megafauna (elephants, gaur, tigers, bears, leopards). Another problem (especially near Talakaveri and in Chikkamagaluru) will be the fog near the tops of the hills, with low visibility and high risk of vehicular accidents.

Again: You can indeed visit. Just be ready for rain and may be thick fog in some places. Also be prepared for mosquitoes and leeches.

October to February:
Probably the best time to visit. Will be a cool 22 to 24 during the day, while at night it can go down to a cooler 11 Celsius. The rains would have stopped. Will be sunny and warmer than the monsoon season but cooler than the summer reason. Occasional rains, but nothing like the monsoons. The forests will be lush and green from the monsoon rains of the prior few months, best time for bird-watching, best time to visit some waterfalls, also the best time for hikes/treks. You will also have a higher chance of spotting gaur, elephants, tigers, bears, even leopards. In some spots, you can also go crocodile watching.

That last image was after a 7 km trek through dense jungle and rocky terrain. It was actually gruelling. The 7 km trek back down was actually worse and more painful. But so rewarding in feeling.

Tadiandamol trek, Kodagu district, Karnataka, on the Kerala border. Trekking is banned during the monsoon. Summer will be a no-no. Best to do in winter.

Yeah. The water was also pretty cool and crystal clear. Also has a unique salt & mineral mixture that is supposed to be good for the skin and hair.

I kid you not: drinking that water (we filled up our bottles as well) cleared up some of my and the wife's acne.

Trekking at Tadiandamol past sunset is banned anyway. The trek starts at a forest checkpost where you have to pre-register. They don't allow anyone past the checkpost gates after 14:00 in the afternoon (it is a 3 hour trek at least and 5 at most) and those who went on the trek must be back by 17:30, or they send forest guards to kick people out or bring back stragglers via either donkey, jeep, or even tamed elephant.
