I have seen a few really good deals here and there. On average yeah.

Yeah I'd rather linux. I'd probably use linux myself if I could be bothered to change everything over lmao. One day when I free up a drive I might dual boot.

    Yup.

LMAO true. Good god, I had no idea it was being used in such a way, that's disgusting. I don't know why laws or so lax on pedos. I mean, I can have a guess why (like lots of infamous cases have them selling the created material for a lot of money, and there's only a group of people that would have enough money to continue facilitating such a thing - the elites). I was going to say I'm shocked that the fbi wouldn't shut it down, but then I remembered they also have instances of running child trafficking rings. Fucked up world we live in.

Yeah, fucked up. There needs to be laws around AI yesterday. But I don't know how you could possibly impose them in a reasonable way. But with AI easily able to create shit like this or for example, falsify certain evidence of a crime, it really muddies the waters in the worst ways. Someone could be pinned of shit they have legitimately never done and that terrifies me, because the average idiot can't seem to tell when something is ai or not. As it progresses, I fear that eventually no one will be able to tell, which is obviously part of the intent as to why certain people are pushing ai, because you can never trust anything then. It's great for certain people to be able to get away with things, and terrible for normal people that could have falsified crimes smearing their name.

Ghost in the Shell predicted shite like this back in the late 1980s, man. Masamune Shirow was way ahead of his time.

Yup. Scary times. Also, I don't understand there are scares of us running out of storage for the internet/datacentres due to being potentially unable to keep up with the amount of content (generated) produced and uploaded daily and I'm just sitting here thinking how about you just ******* trim it if you won't outright delete it all. Literally zero value is lost if you just delete all ai slop off the internet after like 30 days. 30 days is very generous. Idk, maybe I'm the insane person in all of this?

Nah... You are correct. Deleting all the AI slop is the way to go.

I mean you could make it less than 30 days, but 30 days seems perfectly reasonable. I get people what to make stupid slop videos to have a laugh with friends/family/people they know. But it's literally the same-tier of content as short-form content. You basically see it once and scroll past it. There is literally 0 purpose in forever saving it. It provides almost 0 value.

Do not also forget that most (like 99.99999999%) AI slop is not generated on-device. It is generated in some data centre, using high end server CPUs, GPUs, storage, RAM, and consuming a shit tonne of electricity and water in the process.

Generation of AI slop - be it ADHD short form nonsense or right wing propaganda or porn - is literally killing the planet.

    Goodnight, golden boy.

Yeah, that's true. I kind of forget that sometimes. Also it's getting exponentially worse, something like 2x improvement requiring allegedly up to 5x cost/energy/data centre.

    Indeed.

We all thought AI would be a boon. It is literally making us dumb cockwombles.

Yup lol. I mean it has it's use cases. Best case I can think of is basically using it as a secondary search engine, if you are trying to do something specific, but just take the info with a grain of salt. Very useful there.

The main issue isn't just that AI is making us dumb and less creative. Anything with AI is listening to you, watching you, and sending everything to data-brokers or the CIA or Mossad.

Louis Rossman (or may be someone else?) covered an instance of a woman in Texas who found out that her fridge and washing machine (both came with AI) were sending data to the company that made them. They were showing her ads (ads on a fukking fridge and washing machine!) and likely also leaking data to brokers.

There was also an instance of a school somewhere in the southern US (forgot which city/state specifically) where it turned out that AI-controlled smoke detectors had microphones in them that were listening to students' conversations. People were arrested in this case, and rightfully so. They were spying on children.

Oh, AI shoved in everything is the most retarded shit ever. It's literally just a red flag to know what to avoid at this point. I just mean the thing as a tool (a place and time) like everything.
