I am so glad I moved from Edge to Vivaldi for work. The in-built productivity features (notes, alarms, countdowns, reminders) are great for work. Also, Vivaldi with fifteen tabs open somehow eats half as much RAM as Edge with six tabs. Also, Edge runs in the background for a while after you close it, necessitating killing it painstakingly with Task Manager. Bro... Fukk Edge. And Fukk MS up the bunghole.

 

It has been better on laptop's battery life as well.

By the way... Halo MCC crashing issues are recurring even with anti-cheat disabled. Turns out the culprit was never Easy anti-cheat. The culprit is Unreal Engine, which they are using for the main menu UI and customization UI. So... Yeah... UE is causing the game to crash when minimizing or switching to another application.

 

At least I can stop blaming Easy anti-cheat and direct all my anger towards Unreal.

 

Separate company that was later acquired by Epic. These issues with EAC were present even before the acquisition.
