Are there any recent works that retcon "demons" or other supernatural beings or "deities" as being actually aliens? That would be hilarious.

I know Dragon Ball, from back then, turned Goku from just a supernatural freak into an outright extra-terrestrial. Then you have Naruto...

Not really? Terra e has a story that concerns human malignancy, evolution, and growth. It doesn't need aliens to work. The author made it work without aliens, despite being a sci-fi series spanning interstellar distances and decades.

In general, the whole aliens thing is common in US, UK, and Japanese entertainment.

My country, meanwhile, can't seem to get its fukking head out of the bronze age and its mythology.

Correct me if I am wrong but the Nameks were demons in OG Dragonball, then they became aliens in Z and now they are again demons in Diama.

 

Dragon Ball is infamous for its stupid retcons.

Remember when the Potara fusion was stated to be permanent on OG DB/DBZ? Then it is retconned to be under 20 minutes in DBS?

And, of course, the Namekian shit you mentioned is just the latest in a long line of DB retcons.
