im tired of people sugarcoating Itachi Uchiha and making him seem like he was a great hero.

itachi was at best a brutal dogmatic danzo-loyalist extremist, who saw nothing wrong with his numerous atrocities done in the name of a corrupt government, still preaching his loyalty to konoha after he claimed to have become sorry for his misdeeds.

the idea that you can be looked at as a hero, just because you have some murky sense of loyalty to your government is horrifying.

he
- committed genocide when there were clearly ways they could stop the rebellion with less murderous methods.

- lied about, and covered up said genocide, just to protect the corrupt old men who perpetrated it.

- failed to inform tsunade of the situation once she rose to power, which is high treason as he should still answer to her. no one else.

- brutally tortured sasuke for 3 days by making him experience his entire family being killed over. and over. and over. and over.

- did nothing at all to stop villains worse than his clan was, and let them run rampant across the country.

- manipulated, twisted and lied to sasuke in order to create his own personal puppet weapon against akatsuki, that was powered by hatred and lust for power. this condemned sasuke to a life of pain and misery.

- aided in the capture and murder of 6 innocent jinchurikis, and aided in ripping out the bijuus. akatsuki posession of such weapons caused the 4th shinobi world war.

- manipulated sasuke into trying to murder an random innocent person, whos sole crime was being sasuke's friend.

- ordered kisame to execute kakashi kurenai and asuma in cold blood.

- brutally tortured kakashi slowly for 3 days, via stabbing, in order to cause kakashi as much pain as possible

- tried to let kisame mutilate narutos leg.

- planned to brainwash sasuke to be danzo's slave for eternity, using KA.

- tortured naruto for no reason, and drove him to tears via mental humiliation and torment.

- betrayed konoha information to akatsuki.

- betrayed konohas higher ups and committed treason, via threatening to sell intel to enemy nations.


this isnt a rant of some kind. im just listing his honest to god actions straight from the manga.

 

Itachi is incessantly idolized by impudent, insolent idiots. Insular imbeciles imply that Itachi is immaculately immortal, invincible, and illimitable. These inartistic idiosyncrasies are inadvertently inadmissible due to their insensible irrationality. Indisposed and incapacitated by illness, Itachi’s impassive image is still irrefutably impeccable. Is it impossible to implement such illogical assertions as illegal on the Internet?
