As you could have seen,Dessa didn't use the PSD even once for AOTW.I am 100% that only me and Dannie have the PSD.

 

Well i don't believe that, so we can either take this matter elsewhere(i feel like this thread is getting spammed now tbh) or not take it anywere.

 

Actually, this sort of thing is already in the rules for AOTW. I don't know why it isn't being enforced.

Couse you can't prove it he did it with PSD? Unless you want everyone to give me their PSD which is quiet unlikely with everyone.

 

It has nothing to do with PSD's or proving this or that.

It's a simple matter of what the rule says. "Do not copy someone's work."

If something is found to be blatantly from another artist - with input from the original artist - there should be grounds for dismissal from AOTW.

It's very clear that in this situation - Skorm is pretty unhappy about things. Given that the offence in question is without a doubt something that is a reoccurring theme in his own work - There should consideration as to whether those avatars should qualify for the voting stage of the event.

 

So basically purge the whole AOTW since everything is connected with one another? If someone took inspiration from someone you can't call it a steal.

Other than that there's only one work here which would somehow be certified as copy which is #3.

 

No, You're missing my point. You only do it if the artist - whose work was copied - has an issue with it. I was very clear about this.

The thing that was copied also has to be an obvious trademark or style to be considered also. There are a great deal of techniques that people use - however - style and aesthetic are very different from person to person.

 

Inspiration is okay, that should be allowed. What should not be allowed is ripping off. Ripping off here would refer to taking someone else's PSD, not changing it at all and putting a stock or render on it.

I think the word copying is iffy as it can also apply to inspiration. Like I could like a certain style of an avatar maker and try to imitate/copy it to improve myself.

As such "Ripping" is a better term in my opinion. mm

 

I mean if it's like that I'd get it too much considering it can be missused to give yourself better chances of winning.

As I said only one here can be #3 which I allowed this time...other time I won't simple as.

 

Then #3 is fine since there's no PSD available for that avatar.
