The whole trials thing reminded me a lot of the stupid tasks that Kakashi would have Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke do.

I don't know about that, they didn't seem that difficult. And the bells trial wasn't difficult? I distinctly remember Naruto having to do something drastic to distract Kakashi

 

They're two different universes so it's kinda difficult to compare their capabilities but I am pretty sure telling a spoiler to your teacher (no matter how skillful) is less difficult than ******* kicking a damn centipede, escaping from an underground dungeon about to crush you etc

Wasn't the bridge and the bowling ball a trial too? That was as difficult ( if not more) as the bell test but yeah

 

The first trial was the spiked wall, second the bridge/swing and the third was the rolling ball machine/gravitram).
