Portable line will continue on the switch. This is just western pandering to try expand it here hence Open World, grapple hook, etc.

I feel like this might flop, tbh. It will definitely not do well in Japan and at the sony e3 thing, people weren't even that hyped for it, like they have never seen MH. lol. It could blow up though, because the casual audience likes open world, and this sorta falls there. I think people are more happy that it's not on switch than the fact that it's dumbed down.

So heres the thing if world does well, then that could mean the west wouldn't get the mainline series, and instead we get sequels to world, its a worse case scenario but it could happen.
