From the cancelled game I am pretty sure it was the case there. Assassin was just the flavor name. Assassin - Janitor behaved just like town janitor

I am Town reading Prada for this post combined with the fact that they claimed early. I view it as Town frustration. Prada was clearly heated. I expect that out of Prada as Town and to a lesser extent, as Scum, but the fact they say they are taking a break from the thread to cool off is very telling that Prada doesn't want want to get more upset than they already are because that would lead them to make mistakes. If they are Scum, the anger would only be half as much as what is indicated and the rest would be a ruse. Prada would then continue on arguing with me feeling that I was beginning to change my mind because I was giving indication of listening to them all the while countering their points. There were several times I told Prada that I would consider what they were saying. Scum would view this as a sign that they just need to push a little more because what they were saying was working. Take in contrast to what Prada did where they left the thread to cool off and it tells that Prada was feeling like the argument WASN'T going their way which is Town paranoia. The reason it is reasonable for Prada to feel this way is because they are Town reading me. So it makes it a one sided argument if they are Town trying to argue with Town who isn't listening vs Scum who is seeing that they are almost there and they just need to keep it up for a while longer.

 

Well that's what I was going with, that it's just a flavor name and essentially the same as normal mafia... lol

 

No, but the point is that there is a difference between relying on it and using it. I see no reason to not utilise it as long as it is done carefully.

From Prada's I'd assume it's something like Assassin - Janitor, Assassin - Vig, Assassin - Goon, Assassin - Doc... and so on depending on host. Which is same as any mafia, only the roles used change depending on setup and team number and minor alterations depending on host too.

Though you're making it out as something different which is confusing

 

Depends, im talking generally not just as in this game.

I know that the first time around for this game i was given assasian vengeful and i don't think ive ever seen a mafia vengeful role

 

Depends what a vengeful does. Kill who killed it or something else?
I mean mafia's played on so many sites and it's been so many years frankly anything you see here has been done there in some way shape or form so it is rather hard to judge it on that basis alone.

 

Vengeful can be played many different ways but unless Cow changed it slightly for the second go around it was if i was lynched i take the hammer down as well (basically an SS)

If a player is both lynched and killed, only the lynch is shown as it takes priority. In extention, if a player is killed twice, it only shows once.
