Staff Roles

For a while now, the Staff as a whole has needed a bit of love and attention in regards to general organisation. Everyone’s job is basically the same as it was before, but for the sake of clarity and being properly organised, we have reshuffled the Staff Ranks around and provided a breakdown for individual members of Staff (and what they do) as opposed to giving a general summary.

For people who were wondering about who does what in the staff here on SD!, this is basically it:

Meet the Staff Team!

Head Administrator(s)

@Kagerou - Co-Founder of SD and head admin. Handles general affairs such as suggestions, problems between members, and complaints with Zen. Also in charge of appointing new staff, as well as managing them, but also does a little bit of everything. Often will ask members about their opinion and feedback for the site.


@Kame - Co-Founder of SD, memeing shitlord extraordinaire. Handles back-end stuff for the site like hosting. Also does about the same jobs as Kagerou, including working closely with Gobb to develop new features and fix bugs for the site.


@Gobb - Leading forum Developer. He is responsible for implementing new features, fixing bugs and solving issues with the functionality of the forum. He also develops new features from scratch, to be exclusively used on the site. Has the same powers as Kame and Kagerou.

Admin(s)

@Mahesvara* - Oversees the moderators of the forum, and steps in on any issues that may arise concerning warnings, infractions or bans. Handles general anime-related matters. He’s also responsible for holding the various anime themed tournaments you see every so often.


Moderator(s)

@Tsunbear - Handles all-around moderation. Handles forum affairs alongside Kagerou and other moderators.

The Roles Explained

Head Administrators

The ones in charge, to put it simply. They have power over every aspect of the forum, and handle general upkeep of the site. They also have specific roles they carry out, @Kame handles server maintenance, @Gobb handles forum development, and @Kagerou handles forum related affairs. If you have any questions that another staff member is unable to answer, come to these guys.


Administrators

Admins handle the community and activity based aspects rather than the technical based features of the forum, like organizing events and contests on the forum. Like the head admins, they have forum-wide power, and handle specific tasks. Kagerou is the lead forum game developer (He’s currently developing SD’s Roleplaying Game.) - And Mahesvara* is responsible for holding various anime themes tournaments on the forum.


SD Moderators

These are your standard issue staff members that keep things in check and prevent problems from escalating. That being said, there are no special roles or powers these guys have other than those expected from a mod, and forum jurisdiction, which is fairly self-explanatory.

Designers

The designer creates artwork and banners to be used for the site, with each artwork varying depending on the theme, which is essentially a forum skin that users can choose to display instead of the default skin. The designer does not moderate, but does have mod powers.​

I have a few people in mind for mod, but I won't say anything yet.
