Every human being on the planet has a few species of worm of some kind living in their body.

 

Worms are, speaking in terms of cladistics, quite diverse. The evolutionary separation between humans and sea cucumbers, is far far less than the separation between Annelid worms (which include earthworms) and Nematode worms and Platyhelminth flatworms.

Translation:
We humans are far far more closely related to sea cucumbers, than earthworms are to Nematode worms and Platyhelminth flatworms. Imagine humans and sea cucumbers occupy one tree of life (one superphylum); meanwhile annelid worms, Nematode worms, and Platyhelminths all occupy their own trees separately.
