SD's glorious history

Hey there to all, hoping you are all having a wonderful day. This thread is for a bit of history recap, considering the countless changes that have occurred here on SD! and while some may have been slight, there have been many noticeable changes. We can talk about how many banners we've had, or the number of times the SD theme has been changed, but i can say for certain that it won't ever stop as we look to expand, and reach new heights each time. we will continue to do so, and always look to implement new ideas. So having said that, let's have a recap, shall we?

The very first ever SD! Banner, Lol. Kaito's glorious work. :

Shortly after Kaito's initial try at our first banner, @Salad made a new one, and this one has been one of my favorites up until now.

While this one was only up for like three ours, and it might not have been as HQ could have been, this is also one of my favorites, i would like a 2.0 version, tbh.

This is honestly nice, credits to @Kagerou for working with an LQ Stock and managing this.

At this point, SD! took a new direction with banners. @Tsukihi made the Bakemonogatari styled banner, and honestly it was the first banner in a while to give that sort of "New" feel. During this time we also had our first theme change you could say, well, it wasn't anything major, but we did change the color palette a bit.

Lol, during aprils fool, Kaito changed it up on us..... it was original to say the least, and we could have kept this look, right?

As for this banner, i think it might have been quite possibly the best, the mybb version that is... considering it was changed completely to fit the new dimensions that we chose for Xenforo.

Bankai! This was the last Mybb banner. After this we converted over to xenforo.

Then came our first Xenforo banner, this was made by @Aya and we also had a new look. I also liked this banner quite a bit, nothing too flashy, yet simple.


SD version 3.0, though Myresponsive was still the best. It shall return! in our future updates.

@Kagerou made the next banner after aya's version, and this is possibly my favorite. It just grew on me, best banner, SD 2015.

So, you've had a bit of history recap, and well if you haven't noticed, we now have a new theme, once more. This having been designed by @Tsukihi it's one of our most ambitious themes yet, and while i personally feel it failed to deliver, not on the designers side, but on the coding itself. Will look into fixing it next time, hopefully.
