Makami, also written as Oguchi-no-Magami, is a divine beast in Japanese mythology. People originally feared the Makami, eventually that strong emotion deified the beast. The Makami can see into the hearts of humans, protecting those who are good but punishing those are evil.

Never would've guessed that lol. She is currently stalemating Kaido. Fight with Robin is alright. She looked so sad to see Clover/Olvia and Saul. Luffy gonna be back up next chap or soon!

I think this is misconstrued. The implication is that Kaido wanted Yamato to eat the fruit and then wanted Yamato to be the Daimyo of Wano taking Orochi's spot. This is further reinforced this chapter by Kaido saying that Yamato should be the guardian of Wano for himself. But, Yamato refuses this obviously. But Yamato still ate the fruit, but the only reason being she was hungry which is insulting.
