Anime Most popular anime 2004-2020 (youtube video)

Came across this, I like these types of visualized videos of searches.



As someone who has been on the internet and did most of my foruming back in the early to late 2000s, it lines up with my memory of what was popular.

Also made me think of days when forums were quite a bit different, way before social media took hold of the internet. Not sure if anyone else remembers the days of "the big three" (One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach) when pretty much everyone was a rabid fan of one of them. For me it was Naruto. I look fondly back at those days, whatever set everyone was rocking, you could tell that was the hottest anime at the time.

 

Yep, mostly didn't expect Inuyasha to be at the top for so long.

Slam Dunk was amusing, it would just rapidly ascend the graph then fall off consistently the same months. (Jan/Feb) It's actually getting hits for people searching Slam Dunk because of the contest that takes place in the NBA during that time.

 

Pretty Sad that Botato is continuously on top.

All others are obvious except Inuyasha. Looks like Anime was far more popular that manga

 

Jojo bizzare has excellent anime quality

Have not tracked animes lately but space dandy had great graphics and storyline.

 

I am surprised at InuYasha being the most popular for a while as well, but I believe it was the most popular during a time before Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece were the most popular, since it started before them and it concluded in 2008, right around when the Big Three took over its popularity.

 

Seeing Yashihime's TV ratings yes Inuyasha anime should have been very popular
