A stage event at the Dengeki Game Festival 2017 event in Tokyo on Sunday revealed more details about the Gekijōban Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Hoshi o Yobu Shōjo (The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie: The Girl Who Calls the Stars) anime film, including more cast members, the theme song artist, and a fourth key visual. The film's official website also began streaming a new promotional video on Sunday (Note: the linked video is region locked to Japan). The video reveals and previews GARNiDELiA's theme song "Speed Star." The duo previously performed the second opening theme song for the original television anime series. Those who purchase tickets in advance starting on March 25 will get one of four available clear files, with each featuring one the four key visuals released so far. Those who purchase tickets at AnimeJapan 2017 on March 25-26 will receive a separate clear file with a specially drawn image. The film's new cast includes: Yōko Hikasa as Angelina Kudou Shields Kana Hanazawa as Mayumi Saegusa Marina Inoue as Mari Watanabe Junichi Suwabe as as Katsuto Jyumonji Additionally, the staff revealed that Konomi Kohara will play the previously revealed new character Kokoa (pictured below), who is a deserter from the National Defense Navy's base, and who ends up in Miyuki's care. Her appearance is that of a very young woman, but her true character is shrouded in mystery.
