Avatar the Last Airbender Week #5: Book 3: Fire Episodes 1-10

The last book has been opened this week we indulge ourselves in the first 10 chapters of Book 3 Fire.

 

Real question how in the world is Aang suppose to defeat Ozai if he is not wearing any pants? Asking for a friend.

Sokka's episode is among my favourite of the series he needed the guidance and the reassurance about himself I mean he is surrounded by really talented benders one of them being the god damned greatest earthbender in the world and momo nor does he have any special fighting skill like Ty Lee's Chi blocking. It can be a lot, especially for a kid his age who still needs someone to tell him he is worth it and that he is doing well more so when its someone you look up to.

There are 11 episodes left, so next week I guess we will watch 11 episodes.
I was thinking about the idea of us splitting up the episodes into 7 and 4 with the 4 being the final episodes as they are all the end game plot.

 

I figured as much but it was just an idea that popped in my head. I doubt I could last with only 7 episodes next week.

Somewhat upset its coming to an end.
It will perhaps be onto something else after next week.

 

These just give me an excuse to rewatch series I enjoyed not that I need one but having one is nice.
Maybe one of these should be for a new anime that we vote on. Do a weekly episode discussion.

I notice that too I don't care either way if someone does 11 this week and 10 next or 10 this week and 11 next adds up to the same.
I thought about watching 11 because of that and then was like it's like a cliffhanger that one wants to find out but must wait a week to find out what happens, kind of cool to have happened.

 

It may have helped a bit maybe the air nomads are not wiped out but it would also have not been the best move for balance I can't imagine it going down well with the Earth Kingdom and what not as they may be pushed into unfavorable terms which would erupt into war anyway. Politics are a pain.

That last moment where Sozin leaves him to die is strong since it was the world's turning point he came there to help but then turned his back when he comes to a harsh realization that without Roku without the avatar nothing could stop him. Sozin could have saved his friend but choose conquest. That look on Roku's face when the second volcano erupted was heartbreaking he was exhausted.

 

I think Sozin would try and push his agenda too strongly he wanted fire nation to be in control to help push progress and bring their success to the rest of the world. But he wanted it to be on his terms. I am not too sure how the Air Nomads would react since they are very peaceful, but the Earth Kingdom is very nationalistic would push back and would be a nightmare to deal with politically for Sozin. Roku would help a lot with tensions and would work hard to bring compromise between the leaders I just don't know how much Sozin and whoever was Earth Monarch at the time would budge.
Maybe Roku would have talked to Szeto about what to do Szeto being an Avatar before him and facing political problems inside the fire nation would have some advice for Roku.
This also doesn't take into account the two water tribes. Keeping all sides Politically happy would have been quite the task.

Places in the real world exist near volcanos. I do think it was a risk though for sure. I'd imagine the survivors were given assistance afterward.
