    So on the top bar there's a link dubbed Portal, which basically shows the latest threads and announcements.

    Do you use it?

    I am thinking I should either make it the homepage or disable it and show the latest threads on the Forum page instead.

    This is to make the forum a bit more active, of course.

    I agree with making it the main page, but a more easy to navigate version, some users may find it hard to get around it. Actually more personalized, but yeah. Don't think anyone actually uses the portal, i myself have only used the option once or so.

    The cake is a lie.

    I never use portal pages, I always just set bookmarks for the main forums page. I don't see much use for the portal page except looking cool.

    I think it should be called Homepage instead, and placed in front of the forum link on the navigation bar. It'd be a nice addition.
