    Many fans (including myself) believe that Bleach has been held back by the shounen genre. If it was a seinen, Kubo would have had to hold back a lot less and also get to explore the extensive lore more (especially the political intrigue in Seireitei). Because it is a shounen, Kubo had to focus more on the journeys of the individual characters, rather than the rich history and lore of Soul Society and even Hell.

    Bleach has as so much outstanding lore that needs to be addressed. You could fill a dozen novels.

    Throughout their fight, Hashbrown was toying around and trying to figure out what made Uryu tick, especially with regard to Uryu's comrades.

    This is because he felt guilt about cutting down Bazz-B, and especially so after Bazz said he actually felt glad falling to Jugo. Heck, the name "Jugo" was the last thing to escape Bazz's lips as he passed away.

    And as dear Hashbrown himself passes away @Laraib you see that he still had the Black Family medallion that Bazz tossed to him when they first met in that forest. He embedded it into the hilt of his sword.

    Man, things would have been a lot different I bet, now I kind of want that. xD

    Yeah, that makes a lot of sense to me.

    We got a taste of that in Can't Fear Your Own World. It answers A LOT of lore-related questions, including about one mofo who, much like Aizen, was behind a lot of shite in the main story.

    And the novel did not hold back on some things, since it faces less censorship scrutiny.

    Let me just say: A pile of aborted foetuses was involved at one point.

    Bazz's last word as he dies: Jugo

    Hashbrown's last thought as he dies: When he first met Bazz.

    God dang it, Kubo.

    If ever that were to get animated or even just adapted into manga form... Just imagine the conversation about that in the board room.

    Kubo:

    The senior editorial staff at Shueisha and/or Pierrot:

    Holy shite... Another episode where 95% of the content is anime-exclusive. Literally the only portion from the manga is Yhwach absorbing the remnants of Ichigo's Quincy and Hollow powers, and Ichigo's despair meme face from the manga.

    @Laraib This one:

    ichigo it's all over.jpg

    People forget that Ichigo is actually a depressed kid. When he fails to protect, when he feels powerless, he sinks further into depression. This is the most that he has been pushed into despair, however. Nobody came this close. Not Ulquiorra in Segunda Etapa, not transcended Aizen, not Tsukishima & Ginjo. Poor guy.

    Arrancar fans are going to be happy that Harribel and Nel got shit to do this time around.

    Pesche, Dondochakka, and Bawabawa rescued Ichigo & Co from Silbern before it fell into the distortion. These guys are real bros. I already had a high opinion of them when they vowed to take care of child Nel. And now they helped once again. Much respect to you, you clownish bastards.

    And Uryu... Damn, son... Bro is so broken that he can Uno reverse card even The Almighty's chosen futures. No wonder Jugram said he could counter the almighty.

    Uryu is not just broken, but also crazy powerful. He managed to use a combination of his Reishi Cage and his Federzwinger to contain the explosion from the mutual annihilation of the Seed of Destruction and the distortion. Yhwach said this explosion had enough power to obliterate the Royal Palace here and also the Seireitei below. Uryu contained a world-ending explosion. Dude is not only broken, but has a massive upgrade in the firepower department. The power-scaling nuts should be happy.

    Also...

    Shunsui now got the remnants of Mimihagi. Jushiro left it to him to take care of things. Man, I feel sorry for Kyoraku. People always die and leave him something of theirs to take care of.

    His brother Shunzan: The hairpin Isuzu gave him.
    His sister-in-law Isuzu: The Shinken Hakyoken and Nanao.
    Yamamoto: His legacy and the Gotei that he created.
    Jushiro: One final bit of himself to help end this battle and save all of existence, just as he passes away.

    Rest in peace, Jushiro Ukitake. You were too kind and too nice for the Gotei 13. Hopefully, your best friend reforms it into something you would be proud of.

    @Gobb
    @Laraib

    You saw the end poem for the next episode?

    Yhwach is going to be fighting HIM :aizen

    Damn a lot of stuff happened. Episode started with Shunsui and Ukitake's farewell. When Yhwach absorbed all the powers he absorbed Soul King's right hand too. Sad. Gerard is gone too. Phew for Byakuya and Toshiro. Shunsui is right, it does seem like a banquet xD Pesche and Dondachakka found their way to the Wahrwelt xD Uryu being Uryu devising a strategy to save the 3 realms. I'm sorry but I didn't feel the first half of the episode. Maybe cause I'm so used to peak that them talking didn't tingle me in the monkey brain.

    Man, it hurts to see Ichigo like that. Dude is in the deepest pits of despair.

    Uryu is a madlad for containing that explosion. If it were any other opponent this would've been the end but it's Yhwach so naturally it's not gonna work. Yuhabaha just laughing after all their efforts went to vain was just icing on cake. I'll probably watch it one more time tomorrow.

    Hurts to see the MC so depressed

    95% anime OC is crazy. How many manga chapters are left to be adapted?

    I was expecting some Lord Himzen content tin today's episode itself according to some social media reports. Looks like gotta wait another week xD

    As someone who loves dialogue heavy stuff: I loved the first half. My only issue with it is the choice of music. Racy Orchestra 2219 was an absolutely wrong choice of soundtrack for dialogue heavy stuff. Should have used On The Precipice 2022 or Blaze of Soul B Type. Not complaining about the music choices in the second half, however. CH United was a fitting track for that fight.

    Uryu got a massive upgrade in both hax and raw power.

    Also... Fans are saying he used The Antithesis to swap places with Ichigo as the MC xD

    Oof... I've seen worse. RWBY Volume 9 Chapters 7, 8, 9 were hard to watch.

    I believe we are done with chapter 680 right now. Only six chapters left.

    Next week. Aizen was saying the end poem. This means he will be the primary focus next episode. The ending theme also had Kyoraku has the "help figure", meaning he will have some big role as well.

    Note:
    There is a different "help/saviour" figure in the ending for every episode in this Cour, and they will always have a role to play in the next episode. The fact that Kyoraku was the focus this time means he will have something to do in next week's episode.

    xD I personally didn't care for Uryu in the beginning but he's redeemed himself for me

    Yeah the Aizen poem has everyone on their toes. Can't wait for the Chair wars xD

    Yeah, was some pretty good stuff, and I couldn't remember if I just didn't remember stuff happening, but pretty sure like most is original. It's cool that Harribel and Nel got to participate a little, and I think it's cool that Ichigo shot his shot and failed, now Uryu has also shot his shot at taking down Yhwach, which aslo failed, but damn it, it seemed like it was going well. xD Shunsui had a nice send off with Ukitake. Based on the end, the GOAT returns next episode?

    Uryu with prep time is like the new batman. xD I wonder what role Mimihagi will play with Shunsui here.

    Yeah, I'm very interested to see Aizen again, with all of the changes we've gotten. Aizen, the true protector of the Soul Society. xD

    Yeah, it sucks seeing Ichigo fail then fall into pure despair.

    I have to say, the OST really just compliments everything so well.
