Discussion Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Separation

Kenpachi had it rough. I really loved Ichigo's entrance. It very much gave the same mirrored vibes of his Soul Society entrance where he defeated the lieutenants without his Shikai using his fists (first scenes), then continued on. It's perfect, because instead of being against the SS, he's fighting for them. I mean, he really wasn't trying hard at all against the Bambies. LMAO Bro telling Candice to dodge gets me every time. Ichigo was in a bind after being surrounded by Sternritter when he went to target Yhwach. Unfortunately, Yhwach waited for Ichigo to turn so the barriers to the Soul King's Palace was open for him to ascend himself. Funny how Ichigo just got back from there, now he'll have to go straight back. Ichigo and Uryu had a tough reunion, and Orihime and Chad arrived to help Ichigo, given he obviously doesn't want to fight Uryu.

 

Yup would've been this, rather than it being a double edged sword requiring a lot of attention.

 

Episode 9 was good. Kisuke and Mayuri have prepared a replica of the Shiba mode of transport to the Soul King's Palace as a one-time use for Ichigo, Chad and Orihime, so off they'll go. Yumichika and Ikkaku tried fighting Giselle, but the zombie Bambi proved a bit tricky. Luckily, Mayuri came around and was able to nullify the bombs. He also decided to use some familiar Arrancar faces to fight for him. He got/revived them thanks to looting Szayelaporro's lab. Oh no, Toshiro was zombied!

 

Episode 10 was good. Man, Mayuri feels like the GOAT this arc, he's really out there carrying. Mayuri administered a drug to Toshiro that basically made him time loop every time he killed Mayuri, then on the 10th loop his was paralyzed which enabled Mayuri to administer another drug. Rangiku, Rose and Kensei were also turned into zombies, so now he has to deal with them, although he had the Arrancar on them. Byakuya handily dealt with Robert, NaNaNa and Candice while apparently Hisagi dealt with his one enemy, only for it to reveal that Hisagi was being controlled. Dunno why Meninas didn't dodge PePe's ability, but it got her under control like Hisagi. Apparently the ability only works on things with souls, which made it a bit of a poor choice for Byakuya to have blocked it with his Zanpakuto. Once again, Mayuri rolled up in clutch, revealing that he turned Giselle's zombies into his own, and they seem improved. Looks like Giselle was killed by them too, what an ironic fate. Looks like Liltotto "ate" PePe and Yhwach has made it to the Royal Palace. Also, I swear PePe is the personification of a reddit mod.
