Episodes: 12 | Source: Web Manga | Genres: Action, Fantasy
    Synopsis
Surrounded by four armies of dark beasts, five humanoid races strive to push the known boundaries of the world. Unfortunately, the 13 heroes dispatched to the southern region are easily wiped out by Clevatess, one of the Lords of Dark Beasts. Determined to get revenge against humanity, Clevatess bursts into the capital of the Kingdom of Hiden, leaving a trail of death and destruction behind him.

Although the situation looks desperate, humanity still has a chance to appease Clevatess' anger. Alicia Glenfall, one of the 13 heroes, is revived by Clevatess to help him raise a newborn infant, Luna, whose choices shall shape the fate of the human world. Although reluctant to help the dark beast at first, Alicia understands that Luna is the only thing that stands between humanity and complete annihilation.

Hiding himself by taking on a human form, Clevatess sets out in search for a wet nurse with Alicia and Luna. With Clevatess unwilling to reveal his identity, it falls on Alicia to slay all enemies that stand in their way. Meanwhile, the neighboring countries prepare to advance on the weakened Hiden, aiming to control the only forge capable of producing the heroes' weapons.

Episode 1 was good. Pretty interesting, I didn't expect it to start out like this. Guess that happens not reading the synopsis. xD

Started out with what seemed like the main character as a young child, a girl named Alica. She asked her father why the map only shows Edthea and nothing else around it. He explains it's because they don't know what is beyond the continent of Edthea, but there are dark beasts that live beyond their border, which shouldn't be disturbed. There are four dark beast lords that rule the land around them in all directions. They have destroyed any survey groups sent out to them.

When Alicia asks if they have to stay in Edthea forever, this is where her father tells her of a legend passed down. There's a tale that tells of a man, a hero among heroes, that the King of Hiden will grant him a sword which he'll use to slay the dark beasts. Humans will then learn the true size of the world. The dark beasts are extremely powerful, and can supposedly split heaven and earth. This is where Alicia's dream of becoming a hero and fulfilling the prophecy came from, to let them explore the world.

Fast forward many years, and she's become a hero with others. They are being transported in to confront the dark beasts. The special weapons are called Regalia, which are very powerful. Amongst them are different races from different countries. Dunns, Hideneans, but it's noted no one from Boelate is there. As the heroes converse amongst themselves, the carriage comes to a stop. It can't take them any further due to how rough the road is. This is when they're attacked by dark beasts, but they seem to handle them fine. There is one ominous one watching them, that is actually intelligent and can speak the human tongue. Interesting.

After the heroes clear out the dark beasts that were attacking, the one watching them came forward. It's the first of the Four Lords, and Ruler to the far south of Edthea, Clevatess of the Moonlight. It seems ridiculously powerful, and even controlled either electricity or some magic.

As the heroes charge into attack, one of them just gets instantly one-shot and turned into a mangled mess. A single tail strike was enough. The next one was decapitated, followed by another stabbed through the chest. Alicia was quick to realise the attacks were coming from the shadows. Even still, the heroes are dying like flies, it's a complete massacre. Apparently it's been 1000 years since Clevatess has seen a human, but there are questions. How are the humans this strong (due to the weapons), and why are they even attacking. Alicia does an attack and scratches its horn, before her leg is cut off, she loses an eye and ultimately die. That is the end of her dream.

Clevatess moves on to the investigate what has happened. Due to the heroes having said they were chosed by the King of Hiden, that's the target. Soldiers try to kill Clevatess, but they're no threat. When the King is informed of what is happening, his priority is for them to seal up the forge up, as the fire of Hiden must not be extinguished, as they use it to create those weapons.

The full list of races that are humanoid seems to be the Hideneans, Dunns, Orggite, Sladans and Bentis. Clevatess has threatened to kill them all due to not knowing if they will also attack. He tried asking the King why they tried killing them, but on refusal, Clevatess decapitated the King. Clevatess now wants to raise and army and kill them all.

As Clevatess is leaving, the crying of a baby is heart. The mother begs for Clevatess to help the baby survive, as the baby doesn't bare the sins of the people. The mother is able to convince Clevatess to care for the child, as apparently there won't be regret.

We get a little more lore about Edthea now. It is home to the five humanoid races. The Dunns are the greatest in number and are skilled in architecture and tactics. They built two great nations which split the Dunn Plain at the continent's center, Esleinn and Boelate.

The second are the Orggites, brave people of the forest. They seem like ogre/oni people almost. They excel at hunting and the art of natural medicine.

Third are Sladans who are an aquatic people adept at swimming. They prefer to be isolated.

Fourth are the Bentis, a barbarian race. They live in the wastelands and are powerful but lack cohesion.

The Hideneans were the ones attacked and the oldest race. They are masters of refining and forging metal. As they were deep in the mountains, they harvested the arcanacite mineral which was used to built their weapons. The royal family were the only ones that knew how to forge those weapons.

Back over to Clevatess, it's a struggle with the child as he has no knowledge of anything. In an interesting move, he revived Alicia in hopes of her rearing the child. Apparently she is now undying. His first order was for her to feed him, only for him to find out that she can't produce breast milk. Alicia goes on to explain they need a surrogate mother or wet nurse. Alicia tried to convince Clevatess to allow her to take the baby and find a wetnurse, which she planned to leave the baby there, but Clevatess refused.

Clevatess turned into a human form, that kind of resembled the mother, but a male version and picked the name Clen for himself. The intention is for them to travel together to get the appropriate help/resources to raise the child. The baby has also been named Luna. Turns out Luna is actually of royal blood. A stroke of luck. The other humanoid races will move in on the destroyed city to try and take over the area and weapon manufacturing.

As Clen, Alicia and Luna are traveling, they are ambushed by bandits. Somehow, the bandits knocked them out and captured them. I am assuming Clen allowed it to happen for some reason.

Episode 2 was good. Clen seems a bit too smug about being captured lol. Alicia questioned how Clen was knocked out in one hit, and he said it was because he was adjusting to the body. Plus, he intends to remain a secret until he can make Luna King. He also wants to experience humanity from that side of things. Alicia explains they've been captured by bandits and are likely to be sold into slavery. She explains they're not the weakest, but don't play by rules and are lawless scum.

When they got back to the bandit camp, one of the captured people tried to run, only for him to be killed. While Alicia was taken off to their leader, Clen was asked by a woman to go over to her at a building. The woman asked for another woman Nell to come over to help with the baby. The woman is named Sister Carme. Nell is a wetnurse and takes care of babies, but her own is nowhere in sight.

Vroko is the current one in charge who Alicia was taken to, but it seems temporary while this Zazak is gone. He seems like a nutjob and is keeping a dark beast as a pet. But he is smarter than he seems, he realised that Alicia was carrying the arcanacites from Luna Mountain. He put together that there were rumours of heroes going there that failed. One of them was a woman, so he presumes she fled. He wants Alicia to take them to the mountain to collect the weapons, as they are very rare. They also specialise in selling fakes of the weapons, so intend to make money by passing the fakes off as real and creating artificial scarcity. Smart.

That Sister Carme runs the tavern, which keeps her safe I guess. Clen has been given a job to do so has been bossed around to cater to the men. Seems that Nell is mistreated by the bandits. She is physically assaulted, and she really seems to love helping the babies. The bandits even purposefully trip Nell up to take her out a "punish her". Seems like it involved sexual and physical assault. Clen killed the two bandits involved while Nell went back to check on Luna, only to come across Clen holding Luna. Clen wanted to hear of her backstory.

Nell has a rather sad past. Her and her mother were slaves in the bandit camp, she has been with them since she was born. She doesn't know who her father was. Her mother took the beatings and presumable other unsavoury assault while she was younger. When Nell turned 12 her mother disappeared. I presume she's dead or sold off. This is when the beatings and assault started on her. They hit her, kick her, knock her teeth, out and she can only hear out of one ear. That's when she realised her mother was taking all of the beatings.

When Sister Carme came, she proposed "spoiling" them until they were satisfied so they forgot she existed. She "taught" her how to deal with men. Seems like it was sex work. But she sees the silver lining in that she can help all the babies. Nell is a sweet person. Nell's baby was stillborn. She had several which were all sadly stillborn. But she was also happy to be able to continue helping the babies that came past.

Hearing this, Clen requested she become Luna's wetnurse, as Luna had grown fond of her, and it would give a better life. Nell thanked her, but wanted to stay to help more babies that came through, but also pointed out that Clen is a slave too. I think Clen will likely kill all of the bandits and take Nell.

Switching over to Alicia, she's been lead handcuffed and with ball chains on her legs to some other place. This is where she sees the water and bridge they're going over. It's an old arcanacite mine. She also spots another salve going to try their luck with diving into the water. This place is associated with The Hero of Khordhwar and is The Shaft of Elbe. When the slave jumped in, he was immediately eaten by massive dark beasts who ate that Hero of Khordhwar.

The shaft has been submerged for hundreds of years. Specifically, 300 years ago, Arvensis, the dark beasts of water came in with floods. The strongest her of his generation was no match for those beasts. That was when there was still room to fight them off. His blade was know as The Stream Splitter due to splitting a waterfall in front of the Hiden king at the time.

Another crazy bandit came over to start shit with Alicia. He intended to rape her it seems. She dislocated her shoulder to attack the bandit, then tumbled them both off the bridge. They died on impact. She is putting her faith in Clen's claim of her being immortal.

Episode 3 was good. It seems that Alicia did survive, but she isn't in good shape and seemingly can't regenerate. Clen as Clevatess appeared as a smaller demon form to chastise her for loosing so much blood. When Alicia questioned what was up with his form, he explained it was subject to the reserve of his dark ichor. If he horded it all for himself, she'd die. However, he also said as long as she was useful, he'd force the dark icor back into her body, which would restore anything not fully lost back to its former state.

He hasn't returned her so he can ask a question. He wondered why Nell refused his offer. Alicia theorised likely it's due to her being terrified to leave, figuring she'd be hunted down and killed by the bandits. Due to the form of Clen, his words can't be taken seriously as he's a child. Alicia said his only choice was to kill all of the bandits. They can't follow her if they're dead. Clevatess confirmed he could, but doesn't want to expose himself or for anyone to learn that he left lunar mountain, or to draw anyone to searching there while he's gone. So, he's tasked Alicia with slaughtering them all. She didn't want to, but can't really refuse. It's extremely painful for her, having her limbs and bones reset into place. It also freaks the bandits out. They all go on the attack, and she fights back.

Clen continues looking for Nell to try and persuade her. Carme is pretty bitchy to Nell, and chastises her taking so long to "please two men" but when Nell reveals she was feeding Luna, Carme gives up. Carme then asks her to get to clean up and do the dishes. Carme enquires why she seems so happy after getting a black eye and coming back so late, and Nell lets slip about Clen having asked her to leave with him. This really pisses off Carme and she starts verbally lash out at her, but it does seem to be from a place of good intentions, warning her that she's at rock bottom and once she's not useful she'll be thrown out, so the women have to stick together. At the same time, Carme keeps verbally lashing out about how she helped her out a lot and protected her, and that Nell has had someone offer to take her out, while Carme hasn't.

Unfortunately, Vroko heard everything, so asked Nell to help him with something. It seems this is a death sentence based on Carme's reaction. Clen arrived after Nell was already lead away, and Carme basically confirms she'll die now. Vroko lead Nell deep into an old shaft, then killed the lamp. He intends to feed her to the dark b east he controls. In that moment, Nell really regrets not taking Clen's hand.

Clen arrives right when Nell is devoured. Although he doesn't seem to have a problem, as her being consumed is just part of the natural survival order. At the same time, he is confused by the Troll submitting itself to Vroko. Clen's presence has the Troll terrified, so much so that it spits up Nell, who is barely alive but dying. Clen nullifies the acid on Nell and asks Luna to comfort Nell as she dies. It seems Luna understood.

Vroko things that Clen uses magic, but really has no clue. Interestingly, it seems some form of magic is available here. It also seems like Vroko is an old pioneer and "magic" is how he controlled the Troll. He mixed crushed up arcanacite, some herbs and the crushed larvae of a parasitic long-legged fly. The larvae destroy the host's ability to think, making it easier for Vroko to control, which is how he controlled the Troll. It's only currently affective against that female troll, but he plans to control all dark beasts.

It seems that Clen still isn't used to the body and curses Alicia for not telling him about the magic. The troll has injured him.

Things split back to Alicia who is fighting off the bandits still. She's killed a fair amount but is still outnumbered, and is losing stamina. The weapons she has been using is too brittle, so she lead them on a chase. She took down scaffolding causing many bandits to fall into the water infested with Arvensis. Alicia plans to try and get that hero's legendary sword.

Episode 4 was good. Alicia did her best ignoring her body's instincts and drifted to the bottom of the water inside a barrel. When she hit what seemed like the bottom in the barrel, she got out and started swimming. She spotted the sword and started gunning for it, only for a huge eye to open. She wasn't on the bottom of the lake, but on top of a huge dark beast. This dark beast sucked her in. Her father in the past said she could draw out the power of those regalia like no one else could. Interesting. This gave her a second win to get out of the mouth and use the sword to escape. The sword gives her a massive boon in underwater combat. It's when she realised that it was the huge one that killed him, not the other ones. It's is called an Ancient One said to have lived for a millennium and they can sleep for a very long time. She assumes the miners dug it up in the past by accident.

Alicia needed to breath to actually fight, so she made her way to the surface, cutting down some other of the beasts. This is when the Ancient One Surfaced and started killing the bandits. Alicia decided to retreat, given that they live in the shaft, so they wouldn't escape. The bandits begged for her to help them, but she was content letting them die. This fulfilled the request for her to kill them.

Clen contacted her via telepathy and wanted her to come over to reprimand her due to not explaining magic. He is in a bind due to the magic affecting him. Clen did kill that Troll, but Vroko ran away. As Vroko was running, he spotted Nell and Luna, and picked up Luna, for future use. Even basically dead, Nell clung to his leg, having Vroko drag her.

After Alicia arrived at Clen's side, they both went in pursuit of Vroko. Eventually they caught up and found them. Alicia tried to trade the hero's sword for Luna, but Vroko asked for the location of the other ones from the hero group she was with. She gave up the details, and Vroko used another magic to turn invisible to get away. Only for Luna's crying to give him away. xD Vroko was dealt with. Alicia asked to give her life so t hat Clen could revive Nell, and so her did. She was given a new name, Nelluru. Nelluru also has changed a bit with the revival. Her broken face healed up along with her hair being shorted, and changing colour a bit. Alicia also revived.

Episode 5 was good. Lol at poor Alicia having her new sword confiscated by Clen. xD She'll at least get it back when needed. Carme mentioned to Nell about Vroko having kept swords in his desk, so Alicia went to grab one. A man approaching seems to have been looking for Clen, interesting.

Looking for the sword, Alicia found some skimpy armour, so took it for herself to wear under her clothes for some extra protection. She also found a sword to use! This is when Clen was knocked through the building having been attacked by the other man. Alicia got in a fight with him, and seemed to have the upper hand. Right when Alicia unleashed her big attack, Clen stopped her. It seemed that Alicia might have killed him, but the man also had aimed up a devastating blow for her too. Clen claims it is a misunderstanding. Sure enough, the man thought that Clen was Vroko as he could smell the Troll on them. It seems like Nell must've been augmented/repaired with the flesh of the Troll, which explains that she has increased physical abilities. Clen ordered Nell away, to discuss more things with the man.

Turns out the man is a dark beast disguised. He's under an illusion preventing even Clen from seeing the true form. The one behind it is The Lord of Dark Beast of the West, Zavthier of Phantasms. When asked how he knows this, Clen says he's a servant of Clevatess. Sure enough, the Gart reveals his true form, an bird-type dark beast. Clen shows one of his tails to confirm proof of his form too. Based on what Clen says, there are very few who can take different forms.

From what Clen says, Zavthier like observing people, and from what Gart revealed, it's true that previously Zavthier had a pack with the Orggites. But now is thinking about destroying the humanoid races. Three days ago Gart stumbled upon dark beasts looking for their missing child. They assume humanoids were behind it. As no one can get through the forest without the Orggites permission, they take it that they are responsible and so can't be trusted. Zavthier asked Gart to investigate. Clen reveals it's not only dark beast children going missing, but human infants are also taken by other humans too.

Back when Clen was getting information from Carme, she revealed "strange men" taking babies. Apparently even Vroko was afraid of them. Turns out Clen killed her children like she did for all for her girls, "to protect them". It seems that Carme wasn't aware that Nell grew up in the camp and was never taken, so Clen takes it as Carme just wanted to protect herself. Clen thinks that the same group taking the human babies were the ones taking the dark beasts.

Alicia thinks the people behind it are the wizards, who use magic as an instrument of war. Their presence has been increasing over the last few years. Seems that the most skilled wizard often decides the winner in the wars. General Drel of the boelate army known as The Dragonslayer was the first to bring a wizard to the battlefield. He is the one who killed Alicia's father.

Seems a war is brewing with various factions trying to acquire the forge, as it's the oldest magical item. For General Drel, seems he wants to know the secrets it holds. The person that was investigating the ruins, Meynard, heard about the baby being taken by Clen, and even pinned the location to the bandit camp they were at. Seems that Meynard is seemingly their army's strongest wizard.

Episode 6 was good. Nell made some coffee for Clen, and he immediately burnt his tongue. xD She loaded it with sugar though so it wasn't bitter. He liked it and so did Alicia. xD The neighboring country of Boelate has broken through the border and invaded. Hiden is trying to fight back, but it isn't good with the King dead and the capital destroyed. Eslinn tried to head them off to protect Hiderat, but didn't do much good. Eslinn cares as they have been at war with Boelate and while Boelate has superior magic, Eslinn control the forge, so it'll be a big loss if they lose the forge, even though they can't use it. Interesting the King forbid magic in his realm.

Due to the decision of taking on raising Luna, Alicia raised the point that Luna won't have anything to inherit if they do nothing. Alicia also talked about how Drel was the one to kill her father. He was actually originally on Drel's side, but Drel has gone full into seeking power. Clen doesn't have issue with Alicia continuing to be a hero. Clen as Clevatess has gone to protect the fallen capital.

Nell, Alicia and Luna continued on. They stopped in a town. There they saw villagers beating a bandit that came to them. They ignored his please and hanged him, along with others they had hung previously. They have all armed themselves due to how things have been lately. They ended up hiring a room in an Inn.

After Luna had been put to bed, Alicia fetched their food. She had to hear a lot of the people gossiping about the heroes basically being seen as failures now. Their words weren't kind. This is when Meynard, the supreme wizard of the Boelate army appeared with his insects that live along the dark beasts. The insect seem terrifying with their size and strength. It appears that Luna is all but captured.

Episode 7 was good. Naie has Nell totally cornered. Any item forged of iron, she can attract an repel. She used an axe with in conjunction with her magic to essentially fly. Smart! Apparently her magic is derived from a turtle with an iron shell in the east. This is where Naie reveals some "medicine" she plans feeding to Luna. If a person that takes it has an aptitude magic, their eyes glow. If they don't, they cough blood and choke to death. This is when Nell is desperate. Meynard prevents Alicia from helping. Nell while crushed behind two iron beds, apparently needs the strength of two bulls to free herself. Naturally, with her enhanced body, she pushes the beds out the wall. xD

Alicia takes out Meynard's bug before running in to help and Meynard seems to know who Alicia is. That's when she sees the incident with the bed. She questions if the enemy made the hole, only for Nell to confirm she did it by pushing the beds as hard as she could. xD They decided to leave their belongings and to run. Alicia took out all of the bugs in the room and they made their escape. The begs stopped following them at a certain point.

Meynard asked Naie if she tested the baby, but wasn't too disappointed when she said she couldn't. He realised that they underestimated the group. He also revealed that he put together that Alicia is a hero in disguise, so his pretty damn intelligent. He even witnessed he battle between General Drel and Alicia's father. With this, he concluded that baby Luna was indeed a royal. He is twisted though, he wants to torture them.

Meynard gathered the citizens to request they help in hunting the hero. They are playing the angle of not being enemies and that they are trying to help them and protect them and their lands. He revealed Clevatess having descendent. He addressed the death of one person as an accident and revealed Alicia being a hero to them.

General Drel and his army were ambushed by the army lead by Rhode. With the reiver being set up to freeze by his weapon and mages, they were confident in victory. Drel was somewhat impressed with their strategy but also wasn't too surprised at Rhode's abilities as a descendant of the hero Royes. His Regalia was passed down and is called Frost Flower, and once defeated an entire army of dark beasts at the gates of Eslinn City. Rhode has mastered its power. Rhode has gained Drel's respect. Looks like Drel has taken his own Regalia even further and taps deeply into its power and has infused it with magic.Rhode was ultimately outmatched and loss. Even so, with the fight he had, Drel let him live. Drels goal is to obliterate the legend of the heroes, due to what he views as impossible goals. He isn't wrong to question the continued challenging of the beast lords with weapons and abilities that have only ever failed time and time again. I guess Drel has been alive a very long time if it was Rhode's great grandfather that was the Hero Royes, and was friends with him. After a millennia of failure, Drel wants to bring an end to it.

This is when Clevatess appears in his glory. Clevatess questions Drel about the human baby and dark beast baby kidnapping. When Drel refuses to answer his questions, he spears him through the chest/heart. This is exactly what Drel wanted though, and he activated some of his own magic which used his own body to trap Clevatess in some seal. It's called Prison of Dark Icor and is a blood-made prison. It seems to have worked, but I wonder how long it'll hold? Drel also seems to have been reborn through his regalia.

Seems the townsfolk have joined Meynard in pursuit of Alicia, Nell and Luna.

Episode 8 was good. The villagers are indeed on the hunt for Alicia and have them cornered in the building their in. They have bought into the words of Meynard. To a degree, I get them having some anger over their taxes paying for their weapons, while they work all of their lives to provide. Especially when at this point, the heroes have failed time and time again. Luckily, the father of the two siblings from the inn came to seemingly halt the hunt.

The father chastised them for wanting to burn the barn that their forefathers built, and for also listening to the demands of outsiders. Some other villagers are watching Meynard and Naie. The father Mark runs the down guard, and wanted to just speak with Alicia and doesn't want to make any moves. Alicia showed herself. Marks question is where her Regalia is. When she said she lost it, he pried if she meant that she sold it. She was truthful in that she lost it fighting Clevatess and that it fell off a cliff with the rest of the heroes weapons. Alicia confirms that they were utterly annihilated and said that she'd understand if they hated her. Mark is reasonable and with this information, has no quarrel. He'd kill her if she deserted the others and sold her Regalia. But them losing was ok by him.

He questioned if it's worth continuing the tradition after their sacrifice. If they should rally behind the next King. Seems that he realised that Luna was a royal. Mark questioned if she saw what lay beyond the edge of the world and Luna mountain. In Alicia's view, despite only seeing it for a second, it was worth it for her. What she saw was "round and stretched on forever" and she found it worth it and no price is too high. This satisfies Mark. When he tried to let them go, Meynard appeared and his bug wounded him badly.

Alicia tried fighting off the bugs but there were too many and they were overwealming her. The townsfolk were ordered into the house and they agreed. The bugs even started getting in there, so they kept killing the ones inside and barricading things further. A spider that has a toxin that can cause smaller creatures to melt from inside out has the effect of destroying her blood. It even affects dark icor.

Meynard didn't always hate heroes, but because they didn't come when his village was attacked and burning, he ended up hating them. So he wants to conquer the heroes with Drel. Interestingly, Clevatess can still communicate with Alicia, and asks her to hurry up and finish up her fight.

Alicia ended up pushed underwater and stayed there for a while conversing with Clevatess. He confirms that it prevents her healing and even has nullified her immortality for now. Meanwhile, Meynard continued taunting her, especially about the Larvae of the giant moth Giganisant that eat wood and are eating the forest and cabin. They're from a certain island and when they hatch, they eat all wood on the island making it completely barren, except the seeds. This is why they only hatch every century. Meynard's magic lets him speed up their growth.

Alicia comes out of the water to attack, only to be overwhelmed. This is when Clevatess finally gives her back that sword out of disappointment/desperation. He reminds her that the bugs are also made up of water, so she uses one huge attack and kills them all. She then knocked Meynard out from his constant rambling and passed out herself. Clevatess arrived at this moment, or I guess part of him. Interestingly, the reason for Drel's third eye and strange appearance/power is the help of another Lord of Dark Beasts.

Episode 9 was good. Switching over to War Zone Hideart, we see the princess T'ala Mort Anzetta who is indeed the mother of Hydelius VI. She is asked to flee to somewhere safer, but refuses. She intends to wait for her son. She knows he's alive due to looking inside the sealed forge, and seeing it shining and active. If I understand, based on her saying only someone with royal blood (her son) can use the forge, she must've married into the family. She also had a vision of this happening, including the heroes failure, but was too late to warn anyone.

Another person Favio arrived with some news about General Drel and the failure of Rhode and also Clevatess having been captured. Interestingly, T'ala asked for Favio to fetch her armour as she intends to face General Drel in combat herself. She intends to use the hammer of the kings to shatter Drel's regalia, even though the treasure is only intended to be used by the reigning King. She claims herself as the reigning King until her son can take over.

Back with Alicia, Clen and the others, the other mage Naie is captured fairly easily. Seems that they overpowered her and her guards, capturing her. Looks like Naie doesn't know about Dark Icor or Drel being in league with another of the Lord of Dark Beasts. Interestingly, Clen as Clevatess didn't leave his body behind, only a small fragment to make them think he was still there and to stop them tracking him, his actual real body is now with Alicia. Smart.

Naie does tell them of Drel's plans to take over the forge. During that moment, she slips out of her gauntlets and thus binds, and uses them to get away. This is when she spots Nell and Luna being taken in a wage, and she abducts them with her abilities, intending to take them back to Drel. This ended up being a trap, and Alicia and Drel appeared. xD

The battle between Drel and T'ala already started, and things aren't looking great for her. This is when the group arrive. Alicia moves on to attack Drel, and T'ala tried to use the hammer to shatter his weapon. Seems like she missed, but she isn't sure.

Clen, Nell and Luna move on to recovering the forge. Nell with her Troll infused power allowed her to easily break into the wall. Unfortunately, some of the debris hurt one Favio. Clen used his shadows to get rid of the knights, presumably not killing them, and using Luna, they have seemingly gained access to the forge.

Episode 10 was good. Clevatess successfully has fooled even Gart, thinking he's still inside that sealing technique. Rhode saw Gart come from the sky, so asked if he used magic. He then asked for Gart to take him to Drell in the capital of Hiden, so he can face him again. Gart questions why he wants to bother, if he'll just die. Rhode is determined to stop Drel from taking the forge, even though it may cost his life, due to the fear of what Drel will do if he gets his way.

Gart just played along with the magic explanation, intending to use Rhode to get information. Gart agreed to help on the condition that Rhode asked him to questions about himself while seeking his assistance. If the terms are broken, Gart will kill Rhode and he agreed.

Clen, Nell and Luna were successful getting inside the area with the forge thanks to Luna. Clen has attempted to look into the forge, but can't. This is when he notices Nell having been knocked out, and the headless King is somehow alive and carrying Luna.

The battle between Alicia and Drel continue. Drel continues to antagonise her by insulting her strength, and saying she'll never surpass her father. The princess ordered the soldiers to fire their arrows, which did nothing. Alicia unleashed an attack, and Drel revealed he taught that technique to her father.

Alicia questioned what Drel and her father's past was. He revealed they studied the sword together and they were friends and rivals, both competing to become a hero. He agreed to recount the tale of how he became known as the dragon slayer, and how her father Margo destroyed his chance to be called a hero.

There was a match between Drel, the instructor and Margo, his student which had the winner receiving the regalia from the King. They fought, but ultimately Drel was outclassed by Margo, leaving him the winner and to get the regalia. This is when Margo received his title of Sword Master and also his family name Glenfall. When he was given the regalia which was technically incomplete, he was advised that the first beast that was slain with it would receive its power from its soul.

Margo decided to slay a dragon, and Drel protested at first due to them being under the land of the Lord of Dark Beasts of the north, Vordin, but ended up relenting. While he didn't believe in the hero stuff, he did in the strength of the Lord of Dark Beasts. They decided they had to get a team together. As they were leaving, a wizard uttered some strange words to Drel about the mana guiding him through the trials to come on the journey. It seems magic users are another form of heroes, and taught by sorcerers. They believe that their predecessors could perform inhuman feats such as splitting the earth or part the seas. During this time, they are looked on as not being strong enough.

Eventually they made it into combat with a dragon, and were the last remaining of what team they had assembled. The battle was horrific, but during it Margo kept becoming stronger while fighting. Right when he was about to slay the dragon, he got tripped up on a rock, and the dragon severed his leg and so Margo threw the sword to Drel as he was stomped on. Drel was successful in beheading the dragon, which had the sword absorbing its power/soul. This is when the Lord of Dark Beasts of the North Vordin appeared. It's a huge monstrous dragon with multiple eyes and it instantly froze Drel in place. It's not certain what happened, I guess he somehow went inside Drel or the sword, but Drel woke up inside the foot print of Vordin, which was covered in blood.

This is when Drel got his Dragon slayer title, and there was more talk of heroes, but he had his doubts solidified. That the legend of the heroes were lies and it was used to deceive them. His theory is that the most important information of their age was hidden; taken deliberately and with premeditation. They were being handed useless tools and only the Kings of Hiden knew the truth. He believes magic was taken from them and the extent of magic's deepest truths is hidden in the forge. When he awoke, that's when a voice from within that whispers appeared and showed Drel the light. I presume that is Vordin. Drel had some form of Necromancy seemingly, which allowed him to summon that dead dragon kind of. He used it in an attack to defeat Alicia before flying off.

Alicia tries getting in touch with Clen, only for him to tell her to shut up basically, because he was witnessing something interesting. The King of Hiden is going to throw his grandson Luna into the forge. Wonder what is even happening.

Episode 11 was good. The princess approached Alicia, who then questioned what the princess was doing there alone. The princess said she had to speak alone with Alicia, so she used the smoke to get away from her men. She questioned Alicia if the other heroes were there with her as she had heard about their fate. Alicia confirmed that it was true and she was alone. Even so, the princess was grateful due to Hiderat's current man power. The princess felt bad relying on Alicia alone, but Alicia is of course happy to fight. Alicia then told her that her son is still alive. This had the princess in tears of relief. She was determined to follow Alicia to see her son.

In the forge, Clen allowed the headless King to continue. The King offered "the master of the forge" his grandson's flesh and blood which had the forge opening. Before allowing to continue, Clen asked a few questions. If he was supposed to hold a baby the way he was, which was carelessly and he questioned if he was his legitimate grandson, which the King confirmed. He questioned why he seemed ready to kill the grandson, which sacrifice didn't seem like the usual way. The King reveals that the body's actions are being made by the forge's will. Those who are to be king are burnt to ash in the forge, and then their body is revived to take the throne. Generally, this ceremony takes place after the naming ceremony and their name is carved into the forge so they can no longer defy it. Due to the usual events never happening, the king's body is being controlled instead, as Luna can't be compelled to jump into the forge himself.

Interesting, so the King's son killed himself once he learnt the truth of the forge, which was told to him prior to his naming ceremony, so he wasn't controlled. The King or forge knows to not repeat that mistake. It appears that Clen let the King toss Luna into the forge.

Drel was on his was to "draw out what is inside the forge" to try and destroy the world. The princess pointed out the forge's location to Alicia, so she started to carry the princess to it. This is where the princess reveals that her husband told her that the true heroes are gone, and the heroes of today can't defeat the Lords of Dark Beasts. A thousand years if history exists, and none of it ever tells of a beast lord being defeated, and any records further back are incredibly vague. She questions what the legend of the heroes are even, and how they know defeating the lords of dark beasts will open up the world. Her husband didn't tell her much else. But she suspects that the Kings have known the truth and withheld it, including the current one sending the heroes to their death knowingly. She doesn't want her son to turn out that way. But Alicia still believes in her attempt at the mountain side.

Clen asked the King why Luna wasn't reviving and if it was a lie, only to reveal that he had Luna all along, so the forge was provided a fake. The King ended up falling into the forge, so that was the end of it. The forge itself seemed to try and assimilate both Luna and Clen, but it failed, and caused an explosion.

Alicia left the princess and went on to try and retrieve Luna and firstly fight off Drel. This is when Royes was dropped in and attacked Drel with his ice, freezing him and causing him to drop to the ground. Alicia and Royes quickly teamed up against Drel. They fought well together, and eventually they coordinated so Alicia landed a finishing blow on Drel. It split him in half. Drel's body was made of Dark Icor though, and he just reformed, even stronger with more traits of the Vordin. This is when Drel reveals that no one can be a real hero no matter how hard they try. Because their species is incapable and the five races are inferior and this is shown by needing stones to use magic. When questioned when compared to what, Drel talks about True humans. They were apparently a race that once ruled the world and left the remnants. Dark beasts and current humans are nothing but pawns.

Clen heard everything Vordin said, and concludes they left before he existed as he never saw them, so they have been gone for at least 1000 years. Apparently Zavthier knew but never said anything. So the "forge" is just a tome of the heroes legend. The Book of Toah. He had to use his unending shadow to blook the light otherwise his eyes would've been destroyed. When he focused on the relic, the forge disappeared. It was just the book controlling it all. Interesting. It seems it's magic. The information that has come to light to Clen has him very annoyed and uncertain of things, so he decided to return to his mountain.

Episode 12 was good. The revelations have Clen questioning himself, and why he's carrying Luna, which is when he walked away. This had Alicia calling everything bullshit, especially that he'll just leave after everything including him destroying the capital. Clen decided to not stand in the way of Vordin or Drel. Alicia asked him to look into Luna's eyes and say the world was still all grey. Alicia has decided none of the stuff about the "true heroes" matters. This is when Luna takes his first steps and Luna was picked up again by Clen after Alicia's words.

Alicia continued to fight Drel even without a Regalia and Nell threw a large column into him, which stalled/interfered with his attack, allowing a window for Alicia to attack. Alicia reattached her severed arm along with the Regalia and used the Rising Dragon Variant Mighty Stream Splitter attack. Alicia was badly wounded and it appeared that Drel blocked it with his sword, but the sword was her true target, which shattered. Alicia called Drel out, with her words about him already deciding his own limits being what prevented him from becoming a true hero. It's interesting that Alicia heard "a voice" from the sword, which spurred her attack. With the Regalia shattered, Vordin abandoned Drel and his body basically disintegrated.

Clen finally arrived with Luna, and the reunion was had with mother and son. Although Clen made Luna walk to her. xD Rhode announced the battle being over carrying Drel's sword as proof. Clen decided to hold onto the book. He also sees Vordin as an enemy. Before the remnant of Vordin was destroyed, he mentioned the awakening of Toah is near.

Clen outed Nell's insecurities to T'ala about her having been feeding Luna, but T'ala was eternally grateful. She also offered them any reward she could grant, so Clen asked to become Luna's magic teacher.
