    Synopsis

Despite standing at the zenith as the strongest exorcist, Haruyoshi Kuga sought even greater power, which led to his demise at the hands of those who envied his might. As he draws his last breath, he casts a spell that allows him to reincarnate and swears to become more cunning, hoping that all his efforts will prove useful in his next life.

Haruyoshi is soon reborn in another world as Seika Lamprogue, an illegitimate son of a noble family that prides itself on magic. However, his new family largely ignores him due to his lineage and magic deficiency. Nevertheless, the unbothered Seika leverages the knowledge from his previous life to make numerous valuable allies. As he begins to explore the true limits of his abilities, Seika must also be wary of the consequences that tarnished his past and avoid repeating the same mistakes.

Episode 1 was good. Haruyoshi Kuga was the strongest exorcist before dying. After being reborn in a new world, he's Seika Lamprogue. Seika is one of the sons of a noble, although due to his lack of magic and mother being a mistress, he's locked down on, more so by one of his brothers, Grey. Even though his other brother Luft and father aren't overly bad to him, things like his birthday are ignored, which is sad.

Even without traditional magic, he's able to use a form of magic due to his Onmyojutsu and shikigami, the same as he used in his prior life. He's also made friends with and taught one of the younger servant girls, Yifa.

Seems like Seika might be off to the army, if what his brothers said was anything to go by. An Elder Newt comes rampaging near the house. Everyone is basically hiding from it, but Seika confronts it. He witnesses Yifa using magic to protect one of the other younger maid girls. Seika then takes out the Newt in a single attack, which the others saw, earning him praise.

Episode 2 was good. After defeating the Newt, Seika was thrown a nice dinner as thanks. Grey was naturally angry about it.

His father offered him a reward for it, so he asked to attend the Lodonea Magic Academy. His father agreed. As a second request, Seika asked for Yifa to attend with him as a servant. Grey was angry and protested that he was going there, but he's the one getting shipped off to join the army. Originally, Yifa was denied going, but Seika challenged the decision that if she could prove she had some talent with magic, she could go, which she proved. Grey challenged Seika to a fight, with the winner being allowed to go to the academy, and the loser having to join the army. The fathered agreed but he would be the judge. Grey went behind his back and challenged Seika before the time the next day. Seika ended up winning, so he could go to the academy. Although, he has to pass the entrance exam still.

When Seika and Yifa finally arrived, they settled in. When attending the sign ups for the exam, they had to test their magic. Yifa did have an affinity, but Seika naturally had none. This made everyone assume he got in only due to his family. They'll be proven wrong if Seika doesn't hide his abilities. A commoner girl told them all to shut up as they were annoying her. She has a full range of all magic, so is exceptional.

Episode 3 was good. On to the practical exam! There are targets for each magic element, and they have to hit them. The average examinee doesn't really do much. As soon as Yifa tries, she destroys the two that match her elements. xD Seika did the exact same thing too, which impressed the students. The real star was Amyu, who destroyed every element's one, as she can use all elements. People even suspect that Amyu is the hero. Amyu ended up scoring first overall as the top student. Yifa was second and Seika in third. This was fine as Seika isn't trying to stand out as the top student, due to his past life experience.

When the students were attending the entrance ceremony, some lesser demons attacked. While Amyu dealt with and defeated them all alone, Seika secretly confronted the one that summoned them. Using his shikigami/charms, he was able to use them to escape death a number of times, and soundly defeated the demon. They demons were looking for the hero, who seems to be Amyu. It's not clear if the demon lord is alive or not. Seika is intent on making Amyu his friend.

Episode 4 was good. Started out with Seika getting himself and Yifa out of the way of that pot filled with demon blood the proctor Cordell was trying to move up. The two best in the class (Amyu and Yifa) were given a task to provide the new student roster as an offering as at a temple in the forest. Sensing something amiss, Seika steered Yifa into letting him go in her place.

During the walk, Amyu interrogated Seika a bit about his relationship with Yifa, thinking he was lecherous with her, but he kept denying they had a relationship of that nature, which is true. Amyu keeps getting headaches for some reason, and they triggered some teleportation magic trap, putting them into a dungeon. They were fighting the monsters fine, before Amyu froze up with the head pain and was hurt. When she passed out, Seika went full power and summoned a giant centipede which dealt with the monsters. When Amyu woke up, he enquired about the head pain, and turns out she was cursed. They ended up fighting together through the dungeon, and Amyo really loved it as she's really into fighting. So much so the guild and her parents seem to distance themselves from her. Amyu has warmed up to Seika due to fighting through the dungeon with him. they even overcame the dungeon boss together, which gave them some rewards. Seika and Amyu enjoyed teaming up, so seems they'll be a team from now on.

It turns out that Cordell was the one to curse Amyu. Seika ended up reversing it and Cordell died.

Episode 5 was good. No more demons have invaded the school, so things have been smooth. Seika and Yifa were summoned to the principal's office, after the banquet. Seika was surprised to see the principal was a demi-human. An invitation was extended to them both to attend a mixed disciplines tournament held in the capital, along with a new student Mabel Crane. Only two can enter though, which was decided to be Mabel and Seika. Mabel seems to look down on everyone almost, even Amyu. When Mabel and Amyu fought, it was said no magic would be used, but Mabel used magic to defeat her. Amyu ended up going to the capital too, to watch the fights. Specifically Mabel. xD

Seika had his fight up first against Mad Dog Speedster from the Garlz Mercenary Band named Dennis Regan. Seika instantly won. xD The next match was a Belem, a star student from Sage Ford against Kyle, a supposed guard from the Rugrock Merchants Association. Kyle froze Belem in place and killed him. Seems Seika has encounter such ways before, named Evil Eyes, where the user puts spiritual power into their gaze and curse those they look at.

Episode 6 was good. Seika won his second much without issue. Mabel's second match also went to her without much effort. During the night, Seika intercepted a demon spy. Using a summon, he had the summon read his thoughts aloud to get the truth. He was targetting Mabel, who is apparently the hero. But it ends up being more complicated. Mabel was purposefully brought to the school to be a decoy/fake hero so they demons wouldn't target the true hero Amyu. Mabel even died her hair.

Kyle won his second match without effort. Seika won his third match against a necromancer. Mabel also won her matches skilfully. Mabel confronted Seika telling him to give up as she wouldn't hold back against him thinking he'd get injured. Seika had no intention to do this though, and was happy to fight her. During the next night, Mabel attacked him.

Episode 7 was good. Maybe is convinced she can't hold herself back and will beat Seika. She intended to injure him to not have to fight him in the next match.
Mabel is actually Kyle brother. The kids inducted into the Rugrock Merchants association are put in groups of four, and raised together and instructed to protect each other. One of the four is then implanted with magic in the brain and turned into perfect soldiers. They then kill the other kids from their group. Mabels intent is to free her brother by killing him. The plan of the Rugrock Merchants Association is for her to die and Kyle get more famous from killing the supposed hero. That way the demons think the hero is dead.

Seika is able to soundly defeat Mabelin the match. He has his mind made up to win the tournament and free Kyle. When the match against Kyle comes up, he does speak to him about Mabel briefly, but he doesn't get much out of Kyle. After some struggle, Seika causes a smoke cloud and summons a monster. This defeats Kyle. Unfortunately Kyle was cursed, and even a barrier couldn't stop Kyle from dying. When Seika was going to resurrect him, he was stopped by Yuki telling him it'd just out him, bringing him the same trouble that caused him to reincarnate, which stopped Seika. In the end, Seika won, and he hid Kyle's body to give him a proper burial. Mabel was happy for things to be over, and she returned to school. Mabel and Amyu also had a fight, this time Mabel used no magic and Amyu used the gravity stunt to cut her sword. xD

Seika confirmed with the principal that he was intended to keep Mabelalive as she knew he'd win. Apparently the principal is over 300 years old.

Episode 8 was alright. Seika was tasked with going to the Kingdom of Astiria to investigate a dragon. Apparently it was meant to be his father, but he was too busy. Amyu and Mabel both asked to go, but Seika declined them. He instead asked Yifa to go. Cecilio, the prince of Astiria appeared in front of Seika directly about the dragon, but he also wanted to see the school. He instantly tried to get Yifa to go with him and be his girlfriend. The drama point is ongoing for this episode. The elf with him Lize reigns him in a little bit. After the interaction with Cecilio, Amyu and Mabel interrogated him about the prince. They both were not fans of him and insist on not letting Yifa go with him, and Seika has no intent of that, but also wants Yifa to make her own choice, in case she wants to go with Cecilio.

When they arrive at the Kingdom of Astiria, they see the dragon being chased off by some lava tiger thing, which then goes on to attack Yifa. Seika restrains it then lectures Yifa about freezing up. He comes off a bit harsh, but it's because one of his students in the past life froze up and died. So he doesn't want a repeat. Cecilio tried to butt into it but was shut down. Zekt is apparently a mercenary hired by Cecilio to deal with the dragon.

Cecilio repeatedly harasses Yifa to try and get her to be with him. It makes her and Seika both uncomfortable. He even tried summoning Yifa in the middle of the night, so she spent the night with Seika. The next day, Seika went off to investigate the dragon, while Lize took Yifa and had a conversation about her being part elf, which is why she can use elementals. She also warned of Seika being dangerous, and wants her to stay.

Episode 9 was good. Seika found the dragon and was attacked before restraining it. Turns out the dragon was protecting an egg. When Seika likewise started looking after the egg, the dragon bonded with him.

Lize takes Yifa around to show her the mansion and weird harem school thing they have going on, trying to convince Yifa it's best for her. It gets to the point that Cecilio tries to free Yifa by buying out her freedom. When she refuses, he tries to force her into a contract. Lize even helps by restraining her and cutting her finger, to get a blood thumb print to seal it. Right at this moment, Seika shows up on the dragon, stopping this. He mentions the egg and requests Yifa to go with him as a fire magic user. She is extremely happy to be taken out of the position she was in.

When they arrived at the dragon, they had the mercenaries come out. They were after the egg and fed lies to Cecilio. Yifa was the one to take the lava tiger out, before even Seika. She was happy to show off her resolve. When they got back, Seika exposed the mercenaries who were jailed. Cecilio then tried to have Seika arrested and take Yifa. Ass soon as he tried to take Yifa, Seika finally snapped and gave him a verbal lashing. Lize also stepped in to stop it, indicating that Yifa had rejected him and stop it. Kind of weird seeing as she kept trying to force Yifa into it, but then apparently it was a farce. In the end, some village was wiped out by demons, looking to kil lthe hero.

Episode 10 was an interesting turn. Seika was heading home for the break. He invited both Amyu and Mabel too, with Yifa returning too. This was due to someone wanting to meet him as well as Amyu. Getting home, Seika met Luft first up, who was nice as always. Yifa's father was up next. Grey entered the scene next, and he seems to have changed a lot (for the best) with going to the army. He doesn't come off as a little **** like he used to. It was actually The Holy Princess, Fiona who wanted to meet them. She will be staying with them for a while, and Grey is actually one of her holy knights.

Going out the next day, it kind of seems like Fiona has a crush on Seika, seeing as she wanted to hold his hand and even got mad when she intentionally went into danger and he let both Grey and Amyu protect her. She was happy to receive a gift from him too. Seems like Fiona has her own goals too, and is smarter than she lets on.

Episode 11 was good. Seika escaped the princess to start with lol. When he went back to her later after being encouraged to spend some time with her, he found her alone with a chess set. He obliged her in a game, despite not being much good at it. In the end, he conceded defeat when she announced she'd win within the next 7 moves.

When they all left to take the princess home, the carriages were attacked by bandits. They were taken care of without much issue, although it was foreseen by the princess. The bandits are all being taken back so that their employer can be identified. Looks like the group of demons will soon come across them too.

Episode 12 was good. God damn, Seika finally just went brutal on the demons as soon as they appeared. He it up so the others were unable to interact with them, although Mabel still had a little fight with one. Seika just killed them one by one without difficulty. First, beheading Muderev. Pirisralia tried to kill him with her evil eye, but he summoned a snake creature which stopped her heart. Ro Nny tried to use a summon, but it was killed by Seika's own snake summon. When Ro Nny tried to "befriend" it, it just ate him. Solmnem tried to buy time for Gal Ganis to escape once he revealed that apparently Seika is the most terrible demon king. Solmnem died trying to buy time, and when it seemed like Gal Ganis escaped, he was killed anyway. The episode ended with some guards trying to arrest Amyu for apparently killing a demon emissary.

Episode 13 was ok. They let them take Amyu away. Seika confronted the principal and she insisted she was working the ordeal out. Seika told Mabel and Yifa to do nothing, then went alone to rescue Mabel. Taking out all of the guards, Seika made it to Amyu without much difficulty. She insisted to leave her there and it would work out, which is when Seika revealed they planned to kill her.

Princess Fiona revealed herself and seemingly asked Seika to leave it to her. But the when he enquired about killing Amyu, it was said that the hero should basically die to prevent a way, implying she wanted to kill Amyu. But then she backflipped when Seika challenged this to say she wanted Amyu to live and would work it out. In the end, she helped Seika and Amyu escape and Seika restored the damage he did. Fiona then gave a letter to Mabel and Yifa and they met up in the city they were sent to.
