Do you like to play games while listening to music or podcasts on phone or PC itself (you can mute the game in Windows volume mixer)? I have gotten really into this habit of late.

Yesterday and Saturday I spent some time playing Halo multiplayer while listening to music that got me pumped. Actually managed to kick some ass while playing.

I want to try speedrunning once while doing the same. I might actually do well.

 

Yeah. But for solo plays, it's fine. Also for multiplayer where one does not want to bother with in-game audio chat (I do mostly in-game text chat).

Yeah. I want to try getting all the campaigns done in under three hours on the highest difficulty. It normally takes me ten (more for the likes of Halo 2 and Reach, because they are beyond brutal).

 

Audio cues... Damn, I'm getting flashbacks to some of Halo's creepiest missions: walking down what looks like an empty hallway and suddenly hearing a space zombie growl behind you. Yeesh...

At least in vanilla gameplay (no skulls) you have a motion tracker. It also helps to memorize all the Flood combat form spawn points. I have done runs on low or muted audio before (albeit on lower difficulty settings).

The frustrating parts are certain missions which seem designed specifically to mentally torture the player.

Halo 2 and Reach are difficult as fukk on the whole, but you can get by with enough skill and reflexes. But all the other games have that one mission which seems designed to disorient or torture you. There are three missions from some of the easiest Halo titles which seem purpose-built to make one want to bang their head against the keyboard or throw the controller at the monitor.

That's . . . good? Sucks that you might have to potentially wait two more months for one, though.

You . . . tried Reach LASO? Bruh... Did you go to therapy afterwards? I'm a regular player of this franchise I dare not try Halo 2 and Reach LASO ever again.

Yeah. That sucks. That is life on the internet. You find some pic or song or smut that you really like and can never find it again.

 

No but internet in my workplace is shit anyways so I wouldn't know any better
