Brain Drain:
A problem faced by a region or country whereby qualified professionals and intellectuals leave for better opportunities elsewhere.

Example:
Indian mathematicians, astrophysicists, and other scientists are widely held in high regard in the West. But why are they there? Why not in India? Because our crap-hole society doesn't value their talents and they don't have the opportunities to make something of themselves here. There is no scope for pure research here. It's always "Get a real job and start a family, give us at least two grandchildren" with Indian parents. So they **** off to where their talents are more appreciated and where they can actually do something useful for humanity as a whole.

We once had a conversation where you mentioned that Poland has a medical brain drain problem. Polish doctors leave the country for better work opportunities elsewhere.

I'm actually thinking of picking it up one day. But I'm just not in the mood for anime these days.
