Resident Evil Remake (finally) Announced for PS4!

This has been a fantastic year for gaming. But this year had more than enough surprises for everyone and it has yet to run its course without this last surprise: Yes folks, Resident Evil 2 Remake is very real:

Furthermore, Capcom (or capdon't), recently ordered the Team behind the fan-made RE 2 Remake (Resident Evil Reborn) in progress to shut down all its efforts and join in with the development.

It's more than obvious that Capcom wants to make a quick buck off an already built project. Adding a bit of hard work won't really be a problem. But, I am not really complaining. Here is what the Reborn Team's head had to say:

I really hope that this would be more than just a copy/paste kind of scenario, but there is no need to get my hopes up. As long as it gets polished and released, I am fine with it. So, to use Square Enix president's shamefully tedious and overused words, "Please, be excited!"

Next stop: Resident Evil 3: Nemesis!

I don't know about RE, the series as a whole has gone downhill over the past years...

 

That is quite correct. RE is not what it used to be. It went downhill from 4 onwards.
