I'm here for the same reason why you're here.
The anime forum I usually use is down currently, and this site looks pretty active.
Is this site usually this active? Or is it just a random spur of activity because I like my forums consistent.
Also, holy shit.
This text and background. Why the hell would you use black and white images for grey text for the default, it looks atrocious. Why don't you contrast the text with the background.
As for anime I like, I don't really like much anime really.
It's just something I do to kill time, I probably don't have a close of an attachment to anime as majority of you.
But If I had to choose, it would be

• End of Evangelion
• Legend of the Galactic Heroes

That's pretty much it, despite my massive myanimelist page. Either I have to high standards, or the bar for anime is just so low.

Also, If I seem hostile, don't take it the wrong way, I'm not actually a bad guy.

Agreed about the forum text though. It could use some re-designing, but we are still in the early stages.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm not actually very cynical, pessimistic at best.

and I don't think that's necessary, your forum is pretty active anyways.
Squeezing more uncommitted members to this forum would just scare new users because of the ratio between active and dead accounts. I know that some users solely deiced to join a forum on this factor alone.
Also, I have no idea how to advertise this site other then it's obvious "partners"

Yeah, especially the anime board on this site needs some exposure. The anime forum I usually go on gets around 3ish post each day on the anime board.
