Even while swimming with sharks, you're more likely to be struck by lightning than eaten by one of the sharks. You just have to make sure there's no feeding frenzy going on at the time.

Sharks are no different from any other wild animal. You invade their personal space, you get bitten. Why single sharks out for special brand of hatred?

We all fear sharks. Or really any animal capable of killing us easily.

The problem is in that fear developing into irrational hatred.

To not fear/respect sharks is bonk-worthy =.=

The 50,000 death toll per year in India from snake bites may actually be a real low-ball. The actual figure may be twice as high according to Romulus Whitaker.

The swimming argument is nonsensical. Dogs, cows, elephants, rhinos, hippos, buffalo, bison all kill 40,000+ people a year (combined). Each and every one of these animals can outrun even a very physically fit human.

Then you have large land-based predators such as wolves and the big cats, which can run at speeds of 50 to 70 km/hr.

Yea but a lion is an overgrown cat that you can fend off with your bear hands if you're good on feet and don't let them knock you down. Sharks are ******* unstoppable. They're literally just a huge ass mouth full of multiple rows of razor sharp teeth coming at you and you can't do shit do defend yourself besides curling into a canon bolt and hoping they kill you with the first bite so you don't suffer an agonizing death

I know the stats. Point is when a shark does attack you, it's the worst.
