    I think my wife has fractured her right foot. I want to take her to hospital. She hates seeing doctors and going to hospitals. She keeps postponing.

    I want to bonk her on the head. I am not that kind of husband. But I so badly want to bonk her on the head.

    Who the fukk refuses to see a doctor with a potential fracture? Her foot is fukking purple right now!

    Sigh... She's just like her father.

    Got some scans done. It appears to be a hairline fracture in the middle of one toe. There also appears to be an edema in her foot caused by some internal bleeding from a torn ligament, which was the source of the purple colouration.

    Right now the foot is just in a crepe bandage, because the doctor said she didn't need a cast. However, we need to take another appointment to decide something about the edema.

    Okay. So...

    The good news: There is an edema from a ligament tear. But she doesn't need an MRI or CAT scan or a cast. She just has to wear crepe bandage and rest for three weeks. A follow up check-up three weeks from now is needed to ascertain her progress and decide on further treatment (if needed).

    The bad news: We can't give her any pain killers because she is severely allergic to most of them. Yup... So she has to make do with a combination of supplements and paracetamol for the time being.
