Not even three years, given the way game engines and dev cycles are going these days.

 

Regardless of the consoles and their nonsense, 4K is still a god damn meme in 2024, the way 1080p was back in the 2007-2011 period, when trying to run Crysis 1, Crysis Warhead, Metro 2033, Witcher 2 on 1080p would cause your PC to commit suicide.

 

I knew a guy on Game-Debate (the website and its social media profiles are dead right now) who got an RTX 3090 and an 8K monitor just for shits and giggles. He tried some demanding modern titles and... Ooh, boy, that went about as well as you'd expect.

 

I haven't. Though coincidentally I have been watching a ton of old movies recently.
I watched Mughal e Azam recently and holy shit the writing was amazing back then. Salim's monologue when he's brought to Akbar and Anarkali's conversation give me goosebumps.
If you want to enjoy a non serious romcom Chashme Baddoor(1981) is a great film.

Does anyone in Bollywood today have the god damn nuts to make an anti-fasc/anti-war film? I'm not talking about avant-garde stuff that goes under the radar and/or straight to streaming, I mean big budget stuff with big names. Because a lot of the big budget ones that come out today are either nationalistic cow vomit or blatant Fasc copaganda meant to give Chaddis hate boners.

 

Lmao, expecting actors to really care about the country is like expecting a prostitute to love you. They're just in it for the money.
Maybe Anurag Kashyap can direct something but I doubt any big name star will have the balls to be in it.
