Yeah. It's that bad. Also, they keep putting executives who hate a certain franchise in charge of TV shows related to that franchise, so they can get "an outside or different perspective". And these dumbasses keep trying to derail those series.

Bro i swear every creative project is run by a bunch of hacks that think they are better than the original creator, write it for a non-existent audience and ******* hate the fans/work they are working on.

That was especially true of The Owl House and the Precursor-forsaken Halo TV show. TOH was overseen by an executive who was a raging homophobe who - at one point - actually exclaimed "Oh, no, the show is actually successful" (that is quoted verbatim), meaning he was fully hoping it would flop. Halo was overseen by executives who had no idea what was in the games, the books, the comics, or any other source material (and there is a lot of source material), completely missed the point and plot of the franchise, and wanted to turn an apocalyptic sci-fi horror with galaxy-destroying super-weapons, eldritch abominations, and even godlike entities whose "truth" makes entire races want to commit suicide . . . into a god damn young adult romance drama in space (though I have no hate for the actors who had to play out that shit show). Same applies to modern Star Trek: made by people who have admitted to not liking the franchise, they completely miss the socialist and progressive themes in the original, and we get neoliberal garbage with white-washed token minorities who play it too damn safe instead of breaking new ground in actually meaningful representation.

This is the state of modern entertainment industries. Executives just cuck the writers and act like petty little dictators.

Goodnight. Sorry for the long-ass rant.

Watching Gintama makes me realize something.

As an anime this works because it's so random LMAO but how did that work as a manga? There's barely any story, like what are you looking forward too each week? I am crying how random it is, I am genuinely watching Gintoki doing such randomness, one chapter it's super serious, the next I'm watching a ninja delivery guy with hemoroides doing stuff LMAO

    Anime is soo good xD
