    Final day of work tomorrow, just like today other centre only has one person that starts later so the 3 in my centre need to cover all of them, sure was ******* fun on the busiest two days of the week.

    How is Samsung worse on paper? iphones and the Galaxy S series use literally the same displays. iphone displays are made by Samsung's mobile display division. The iphone displays are worse in practice because they have more bs going on under the hood.

    Yup... I can confirm that the reason Galaxy A-series and S-series displays don't **** with me a lot is because they have a consistent 240 Hz flicker across all brightness levels.

    The refresh rate has no relation to PWM flicker. Display brightness has more of an effect on PWM flicker.

    Meanwhile, Galaxy A-series and S-series are 240 Hz PWM with 15% modulation.

    I had the choice of a higher quality laptop than my current one (an Asus make). However, it came with an OLED with allegedly bad flicker (according to notebookcheck). That is one of the main reasons I went with my current laptop (which has an IPS LCD panel).

    Only other options are to go for a device with an LCD panel or an OLED with over 360 Hz PWM with sub-15% amplitude.

    On paper as 240.is worse than 480 and you want higher but for iphone higher is bad because it's not consistent :(

    I don't like OLEDs altogether

    Then you should get an OLED phone confirmed to have DC dimming or get a phone with an LCD panel.
