    Ichigo Kurosaki is an ordinary high schooler—until his family is attacked by a Hollow, a corrupt spirit that seeks to devour human souls. It is then that he meets a Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki, who gets injured while protecting Ichigo's family from the assailant. To save his family, Ichigo accepts Rukia's offer of taking her powers and becomes a Soul Reaper as a result.
    However, as Rukia is unable to regain her powers, Ichigo is given the daunting task of hunting down the Hollows that plague their town. However, he is not alone in his fight, as he is later joined by his friends—classmates Orihime Inoue, Yasutora Sado, and Uryuu Ishida—who each have their own unique abilities. As Ichigo and his comrades get used to their new duties and support each other on and off the battlefield, the young Soul Reaper soon learns that the Hollows are not the only real threat to the human world.

    Episode 1 was interesting. I remember a little bit about Souls and Soul society, but not the concept of Hollows and whole in general. Its good that the show has some gag moments in between. I feel like Jujutsu Kaisen stole so much from Naruto and Bleach lmao.

    Man, this is so nostalgic, it's like Watching Dragon Ball Z again for the first time in years. I started Bleach probably like 12-13 years ago. This is the first time watching it again easily in 10 years. I agree it has a great blend of serious/action scenes and comedy. The comedy doesn't overstay its welcome. Bleach, Naruto and One Piece paved the way for modern shounen, of that there is no doubt.

    Episode 2 was great. Gets me every time, Rukia just steals Yuzu's clothes and lives in his closet. Proceeds to not elaborate when questioned. xD Orihime's cooking is always off the rails. I kind of forgot that detail, she lived alone since she was 12, pretty rough. The OSTs are top tier.

    Episode 3 was good. Forgot how sad the backstory for Orihime was. Having an argument with her brother over something as minor as a hairpin, is the last time she ever saw him alive or spoke to him. It was nice they reconciled in the end.
