Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka?

Five hundred years have passed since the humans went extinct at the hands of the fearsome and mysterious 'Beasts.' The surviving races now make their homes up on floating islands in the sky, out of reach of all but the most mobile of Beasts.

Only a small group of young girls, the Leprechauns, can wield the ancient weapons needed to fend off invasions from these creatures. Into the girls' unstable and fleeting lives, where a call to certain death could come at any moment, enters an unlikely character: a young man who lost everything in his final battle five hundred years ago, the last living human awakened from a long, icy slumber.

Unable to fight any longer, Willem becomes the father that the girls never had, caring for and nurturing them even as he struggles to come to terms with his new life, in which he feels the pain of helplessly waiting for his loved ones to return home from battle that his 'Daughter' once felt for him so long ago. Together, Willem and the girls gradually come to understand what family means and what is truly worth protecting.​

 

I rather enjoyed the first episode. It reminds me of DnD a bit with the varying races, which are not animated well but they aren't too bad. I enjoyed the music it fits really well with theme of the show.

I enjoyed the show the beginning where they run around town was super cute and I liked the song it fit really well. I am curious what Willem actually is. Is he a human or some kind of clone of the Willem from 500 years ago I dunno but it will be interesting to find out.

 

Well after episode 2 I now have an idea of why the LN readers say this series is going to be an emotional roller coaster and your heart is going to be ripped out of your chest multiple times, based on the future events the episode hints at. I look forward to Wilhelm to building strong bonds with these girls that will hopefully save them from the darkness thats to come.

 

I wanted to see the weapons in action, pretty disappointed about that from episode 2. I like that we are seeing Willem's past a bit more. His interactions with the children are really cute to see.

 

Don't expect a lot of action, from what I've heard the first battle doesn't happen till volume 3 in the LN's. The story is mainly about the characters growing together and becoming a family, while dealing with the hardships of fate along the way.

 

Well, i really hope this anime knows how to handle the "emotional roller coaster" and don't turn out to be on eof the cheap and over the top melodrama series.

How good this is?

 

Well that is a bit disappointing for me while I enjoy seeing the interactions I was hoping to see them use the weapons.

 

I actually don't see a problem, because these series tend to focus to much on the action aspect, while neglecting the characters themselves.

 

I think it's just personal preference. I like to have both, I am not a violent person but I rather enjoy watching violent shows. I am liking how the show is setting the stage but I hope there is some action to come after a good background and character development has been established.

 

An alright episode, I liked the interactions between the trio and Wilhelm. Chtholly is getting more bold as well. Some interesting events going on at the of the episode tho.

Is this any good so far? I turned my head away from it because it just seemed so confusing but it seems to be popping up everywhere +.+

 

I think its pretty good, but expect it to be more of a character drama than an action series.
