A few days ago, I bit the bullet and decided to upgrade my phone to One UI 3.5 and the latest August 2026 patch. I waited this long because the One UI 3.5 with May 2026 patch was causing battery drain issues.

Anyway... The RAM optimization and background usage is greatly improved. Samsung said they decided to improve on CPU, GPU, RAM optimization due to the ongoing memory/storage crisis (which has caused most smartphone and laptop makers to cut back on RAM quantities).

Now... This is what fvcking pisses me off about this:

1. Samsung (one of the world's largest manufacturers of RAM and storage) themselves have actively contributed to this crisis by prioritizing AI slop of their own and third party AI company customers; so much so that even Samsung's own smartphone & laptop divisions had to run to Chinese makers for cheaper RAM, as Samsung's memory/storage division basically gave them a huge middle finger.

2. Samsung implied through their statements that they could have always had the software better optimized on those above-mentioned fronts. They just didn't give a shit until RAM and storage became ludicrously expensive; because they previously focused all software side efforts into fvcking invasive AI slop.

 

Atleast they care enough to optimise the performance. But yeah **** AI for messing up the RAM/Storage market

 

Bro... They are not optimizing the performance because they care. They are doing so because they are cutting back on RAM amounts in smartphones, using slower internal storage, and also using 40% weaker SOCs relative to price. They are optimizing performance only out of absolute necessity, because capitalism has cucked every single damn thing and the global tech market is going to implode by 2029-2030.

 

Yes. Do this to every single tech-bro and tech executive. Slay them all!
