Making spinach-capsicum-almond soup. And to go with it: wholewheat sourdough pav with Wyke aged cheddar.

 

Just remember to worship me.

 

This made me recall that Shaggy & Scooby once made soapy soup (with added cobwebs for seasoning) and were forced to eat it by Red-beard the pirate.

They were burping soap bubbles the whole night

It was. Only thing missing was a touch of garlic. I did not add it because my wife and father-in-law can't stand garlic (they love onions and shallots, though). Had to use shallots and asafoetida instead. Those two together can approximate the flavour and even smell of garlic.

To pair with: Pav buns toasted with butter. I had the pav with the Wyke cheddar. Loved the combination.

They can't stand the smell of it, for some reason. And it seems to be inherited. My wife has it, her dad has it, her grandma (dad's mom) had it. All three also can't stand the smell and mouth-feel of certain fruits.
