I just watched Episode 4. Some issues with the animation of giant Gerard and Zaraki. But, otherwise, epic.

Laraib is not ready for what is in store this episode.

Ooh, boy, there was some insane foreshadowing for something in Episode 4 back in the Soul Society arc itself.

 

Episode 3 was great. Ichigo and Uryu were in sync So If we DO end up beating Yhwach, Ichigo has to become the Soul King? They probably should make Ukitake the new soul King tbh, dude has the experience with soul kings powers and is God level benevolent. Ichigo was pretty nonchalant about it, because right now he only thinks about protecting his friends. Gerard wreaks havoc with the Visords. Dude has been fighting 6 Captains and is still winning. How does he do it? Zaraki is back! Lol at Toshiro stopping his attack to explain him the situation. Also, why would the Seretei be destroyed if he falls? As if there's anything left standing in it for that matter Kenpachi whips out his new blade, damages Gerards blade but ends up cutting himself. Truly a miracle

 

Episode 4 was amazing. Kenpachi's Bankai finally!! He turns into an oni lmao Nice to see Yachiru again. Has she fused with his Zanpakuto or what? I'm confused. He sliced Gerard in half. But the guy still got back up again. Toshiro is an adult now, but even his attack with Byakuya wasn't able to send him off. Gerard is on a generational run to humble the Captains. Man, I wish we could see more of Kenpachi's Bankai. It was so short lived when his arm got cut off. Lmao at Renji and Rukia calling adult Toshiro his big bro And Toshiro accepting Renji and Rukia are going to help Ichigo. Meanwhile Ichigo gathers his hollow powers and fires a Grand Rey Cero laden Getsuga at Yhwach, which blows his torso away. You love to see it. Ichigo's theme playing was just icing on the cake. Orihime is having Ichigo's babies in her head lmao

Hitsugaya is just being careful. It is part of his personality. He always subconsciously holds back from going all out because he does not like unnecessary destruction and harm to others. Otherwise, he'd have been as dangerous as Byakuya and Zaraki with eyepatch.

Also, you have to keep in mind that there are still thousands of people in Seireitei, the Shinigami research institute which is acting as a base of operations, the prisons with all the dangerous motherfukkers, the Central 46 library which houses dangerous items, and so much more. Toshiro took all of this into consideration.

Bleach as a series is an example of "show, don't tell".

Zaraki's bankai is a compression type, similar to Ichigo's first bankai. Takes all of his power and compresses it, giving him an enormous boost in speed, strength, reflexes, even reiatsu. Trade off is that he loses his marbles. However, just like Ichigo's first bankai use against Byakuya, his body is not yet ready to handle the compressed reiatsu, thus giving out after only a short while. He needs to train with this bankai.

Also... You see Adnyeus's heart reforming after Kenpachi apparently shredded it. The miracle is just freaking broken. And the music that kicked in when his heart reformed. Adnyeus be damned, Sagisu

Just to give you an idea of how powerful and even broken (yes, broken) matured bankai Toshiro is:

He outright froze and cut Hoffnung in half, whereas shikai Kenpachi even with his eyepatch off barely nicked the damn thing. This puts matured bankai Toshiro vastly above shikai Zaraki, which is a feat in itself. It also puts him vastly above current Byakuya and probably Kyoraku as well. Yes, he froze and then cut the thing. It does not change the fact that he can do more physical damage than shikai Zaraki, current Byakuya with bankai, and Kyoraku.

Toshiro could have indeed killed Gerard himself. However, he had the bad luck of going up against literally the heart of god himself. If it wasn't for the miracle, Gerard would have been killed, left in an absolute zero state. Same applies to bankai Zaraki as well, actually. The Miracle is fukking busted.

And, yes, Toshiro's abilities in this state make it abundantly clear he is throwing out absolute zero attacks just like Rukia. However, unlike her, he has unlimited range, can do so with a mere hand gesture, and can freeze most abilities as well (including raw energy).

It is also implied that had Toshiro access to this form when he was fighting Aizen, he could have potentially halted the effects of Kyoka Suigetsu by freezing the zanpakuto. That is how broken his power nullifying is. In fact, his matured bankai likely evolved this power nullifying ability as a response to Kyoka Suigetsu.

The Getsuga Tensho plus Gran Rey Cero combo attack is called Cero Cresciente. The fact that it was able to bisect Soul King absorbed Yhwach makes it the single most powerful offensive attack ever seen in Bleach thus far.

Also, I love that Ichigo is once again being portrayed as a speedster, as he was meant to be. Dude was able to move so fast that he put his hand on Yhwach's before moustache king could draw his sword.

Back when they first met: When Ichigo first asks Yachiru who she is after she hops on his shoulder, he says "Who are you? Or rather, What are you?" because her presence felt quite off to him.

After his fight and loss to Ichigo, Zaraki has a flashback to when he first met his adopted daughter. He asks her "Where did you come from?", and little baby Yachiru just crawls up to him and puts her hand on his sword.

This was foreshadowing that she is actually Nozarashi. Also... Recall that after he kills Unohana, Zaraki hears his zanpakuto's voice for the first time. The voice is the same as Yachiru's (just distorted a little).

Yachiru was always Nozarashi, Kenpachi Zaraki's zanpakuto spirit. Zaraki could not hear her true name early on because he was subconsciously suppressing his true power. So he gave her a name. He named her Yachiru, after the person he admired most: Yachiru Unohana, the first Kenpachi.



Zaraki is now the third known male Shinigami with a female zanpakuto spirit, after Kyoraku and Urahara.

Names and their meanings carry power in Bleach. The power of the giver of the name also matters. Zaraki's power is so freaking absurd, that giving his zanpakuto spirit a different name and implying her to be just another soul, made that zanpakuto spirit into another shingami altogether that was capable of imprinting on its own asauchi and having its own zanpakuto.

One More Thing!
Recall Yachiru's battle with Guanael Lee. Her combat instinct allowed her to repeatedly strike him despite him vanishing from an opponent's senses and even memories. And her own zanpakuto spirits are animals fighting on pure instinct. This foreshadows Zaraki's combative instincts and animalistic state in his own bankai.
